I had such high hopes for this movie. The girls looked amazing, the makeup was just phenomenal. They where both very talented actors for sure but it was boring. It wasn’t very scary, there wasn’t much horror to it honestly. Nothing in it even compared to any of the disturbing scenes in the first movie. It was just really a let down for me. I’m such a huge horror fan and I really had high hopes it would be scary and disturbing but it fell short.
Yeeeey, my favourite superhero- SAW is back! Jokes aside though, my favourite recent horror films are (available online in good quality): 1. Evil dead rise (watch the 2013 version first, if you haven't) 2. Exorcism of the pope (Russel Crowe's second best role IMO. We all know what the first one is, which is not a matter of opinion but fact) 3. The series "into the dark" (slightly less recent and less scary but very very entertaining, a must-watch for all horror fans) Good horror films are quite hard to come by nowadays, so I would welcome any more suggestions. What else is out there people?

I really hope I like this one -- the concept is cool. I'm glad we are going back to the two original main characters. I personally enjoyed Insidious Red Door! Most of it was creepy imo and it had some funny moments and it had wholesome stuff too. I also love Cobweb and Talk To me and Boogeyman!! They creeped me out! Also made me feel bad for main protagonists! Im looking forward to watching Demeter, Haunted Mansion, and others I still haven’t seen yet!! ^.^
Exorcist Believer…HELL NO! I saw the first one back in the 70’s and am still recovering! Just hearing that damn “Tubular Bells” makes my hands sweat, my heart race, and my stomach churn!
YES finally a new Blumhouse movie can’t wait for “The Exorcist Believer”🙌😈☠️ BTW “Talk to me” was dope! The actor’s were incredible especially the main characters, it goes so much deeper than trailer shows, and they better make a sequel! “Cobweb” was gd, a little slow, great child actor as well as great choice for the mother, gd tension build up, and twist ending. “The Boogyman” was very good, great acting, decent story line, suspense, and gd sets. Im sadden to say as for the new Insidious movie…it was a bust for me, all over the place, very disappointing. I know they only had a few days and two locations to make it but rushing it did it no favors at all.

@@katz0625There is an entire sub-genre of horror called “Horror/Comedy” dating back to the 80s with cult favorites such as EVIL DEAD. The Blackening for example, was a satire which fit into this sub-genre.

Demeter was a wasted opportunity, I can see why it was stuck in development hell for so long. It could have been so good, but alas. Talk to Me is the only other one worth attention. I haven't seen the Exorcist cash in yet but expectations are low unfortunately.

To my surprise Saw X was pretty darn good. I always loved the twist/surprise they place in the end. Five nights at Freddy’s is good too. It’s one u can watch with the kiddos. Now I’m ready to watch the super scary movies like Cobweb and Boogeymen but the way I just laughed at The Blackening trailer I’m about to watch that now. I love a good horror/comedy film 😂

Heard it's not that good but good enough for watching in digital on phones I guess. Waiting for The Boogeyman in digital as well. Looking forward to The Excorist: Believer, The Nun 2, Saw X.

after watching the clips and thinking about the content I was just subjected to I don't think I actually want to see any of these and that expresses growth for me because the younger me would try to hurry and go see them all. But to each, their own, and happy watching to you who do go and see them. Please don't spoil the script for me!
The original is better but part 3 is criminally underrated - as you mentioned there are some all time classic jump scares in it, as well as some genuinely creepy and disturbing imagery. It's a worthy and brilliant sequel, definitely deserves more respect. Part 2 is an abomination!
