- This is my rendition of, and also tribute to, Tuomas Holopainen and his great album "Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge".
This is also tribute to Don Rosa's absolutely stunning work. The pictures are from Finnish edition "Roope Ankan elämä ja teot".

I just woke up from ECT treatment at the psychiatry here in Sweden. Never have music sounded so beautiful as with this song right now. So glad to be alive in such times.

Lol i remember recording myself on c-tape reading this when i was 6 years old in 95, good times. Few years later i started to listen Nightwish. Its amazing to see two of my childhood heroes come together like this
This is the first story that got me hooked to Don Rosa's stuff, when i was a kid i always tought this was made by finnish person because scenery and the scrooges attitude when he was living in klondike. I bet it was the stories and style that made him so popular in finland, it was almost like Koiramäki stories from Mauri Kunnas with detailed pictures and history based stories.
The same can be said about Norway actually. Scrooge and Donald is immensely popular there still, decades after they were introduced. This story though, about Scrooge, is perhaps some of the best that was ever produced. Don Rosa and Carl Barks are definitely the best to read when it comes to these stories.

I was listening from afar, and heard Marco, its rare hearing Tony at a lower register. This is goosebumps music, and I'm ever grateful for all the talent and commitment to true art!
I much prefer Tony at a lower register. I feel the same way about Marco Hietala. Its my personal opinion that although they can hit very high notes they tend sound a bit nasily. However I think their chest voices are epic

Kuulostaa uskomattomalta sanoa mutta on totta, että Rosan sarjakuvat ovat taidetta, kuten myös Tuomaksen musiikki, vaikka en olisi kaikkea tehnyt samoin kuin hän jos olisin Donin tarinoihin säveltänyt musiikkia. Erittäin suuri hatunnosto molempien työlle! Olen itse vahvasti sitä mieltä että Don Rosa on nero, suurempi kuin itse Carl Barks. Hän saa itkemään ja nauramaan samaan ainaan.
