Appion Core Tool Cleaning and Repacing O-Ring

I have to repair my Appion core removal tools. Nylog has gunked up behind the swivel connector. The gaskets also wore out due to, many uses this summer. Therefore I have to figure out how to replace the gaskets. I use alcohol to clean up the caked-on grease from nylog. Join me on my adventure.

I worked for a company that didn’t see the value in pulling deep vacuums. It killed me to be watch guys drip water into the piping during the brazing process then pull a 2 hour vac on large systems. On a few jobs the pressures went past 500psi on start up. Then the gas would be recovered, the micron gauge would be brought out and 1-2 days would be spent vacuuming out the moisture and getting the vacuum down to an acceptable level. Props to you for not following everyone else.
