@@user-kj8fb6do6qaq because women is doing non paid job in home, bride's family do full expenses of marriage so women is left with no money in her hand unlike husband. Husband suffers no loss unlike wife. Maintenance is given as a compensation and dowry is a greed of the groom and his family. Equating both r stupid.
