Like it was such a crazy moment & twisted moment, all he’s thinking of is her smile and beauty with her body laying lifeless & he’s getting handcuffs on him even while heading to prison for life. Carmen was a sex symbol and an escort in how she moved with men, her ruin was her being seen as just sex to men and using her body for it.
It’s where the window to the soul is not the hips but the eyes line comes from. It was her acknowledging she isn’t just sex but refusing to not be used for it, it’s why she kept pulling death cards because that’s where her death was gonna come in with her thinking
