Great job with the video. I love me some Brazil, and Salvador will be my chosen place for retirement. I've been to 37 countries, but Brazil stole my heart. It has such a rich and vibrant culture. So glad to see you're enjoying it as well.
I'm very humbled that you would choose here as a place to retire to. May I ask other notable countries you have been to that people usually don't talk much about? I've been planning for a long trip in the next 3-4 four years, and I've been carefully considering places to add to it.
@@ammygamer My favorite countries or notable countries may be different based on what you like, so keep that in mind. But since you said notable, I take that to mean unique, so I'll leave out the western hemisphere and direct you towards Asia. For me, I love Vietnam and I also had an incredible time in Laos. Thailand and Cambodia are also right there, so if you can spend a good amount of time in this region, you are sure to have an amazing experience.
That is great to hear. Usually, Brazilians are not used to see foreigners coming to live here. As you aforementioned, Asia (especially ancient Conchichina), are great places to live as well, so its very heartwarming to hear you choose us over them. I hope Brazil receives you with open arms and a open heart, and that you be very happy here.

Oh, I'm Brazilian, and how great it is to see people from abroad getting to know Brazilian culture. It is important to highlight that our culture is really diverse as you said. I went to Salvador at only 26 years old, although lived all my life in the Northeast region of Brazil (in Ceará and Pernambuco). So I always lived close to Bahia, but when I went there, I had a lot of things to learn about Bahia's culture and food that I had never tasted before. I'm being a digital nomad for a year now, traveling by Brazil's North and Northeast regions, and I still feel that I have a lot to know in my own country. Something that I really recommend for you guys, it's to be here during the "São João" (also called festas juninas, like "June parties"), a period in June that we celebrate with food and dances. In the northeast, this culture is really strong. There is kind of a discussion about what's the best: Carnaval or São João, hahaha. For me, São João is the best one!!!!
Não importa quantas vezes eu veja vídeos e fotos de Salvador, toda vez eu fico impressionada com a beleza dessa cidade. Eu amo salvador, principalmente o centro histórico ❤

Thanks for another cultural exchange & bridge between the African US & African Bahian/Brazilian traditions. I'll post it on Teaching African-American History on Facebook again! You guys are always in good sports with an open mind, showing beauty, culture & truth in our African-American diaspora experience!
We appreciate you! You seem to know our driving purpose. Thanks for enjoying another one and for supporting our work by sharing! ✌🏾
Muito obrigade pelas recomendações!
Não importa quantas vezes eu veja vídeos e fotos de Salvador, toda vez eu fico impressionada com a beleza dessa cidade.
Eu amo salvador, principalmente o centro histórico ❤

Hello guys. I am from Brasil, but I haven't seen so much of my own country and I thank you for showing me. Also, feel happy knowing that you have enjoyed your stay in my country.
I appreciate you both putting this channel together providing the masses with all the content that we probably wouldn't have come across normally. I saw a documentary on tv once and it was eye opening. Thank you!

You are doing a wonderful job, friends! Thanks for sharing your opinions with us!!!!!
You both are adorable. I love your channel! I will be 68 in June and it is my hope to move to SMA very soon! I have already retired and my income is close to poverty as I live in California. There is no healthcare here and there is a huge lack of community. My niece has been to SMA and has friends there! I'm working on getting my passport as I lost it over 10 years ago. Thank you and Blessings to you both!
It is the blackest city outside of Africa. The local accent has a happy tone and a singsong rhythm.
Their accent is very rhythmic!

Hi Guys! My family came from Bahia, and I visited the state from time to time. But in next month is the first time that I will visit Salvador.
Was very nice see you look about our culture. A foreign vision, but also a african american vision, about the cradle of our african-brazilian culture.
I wish a good trip to you guys, and I will buy a coffee to you soon ;-)

I love this video. I like tourists who absorb the history and beauty of these places from small observations.
Eu adoro minha capital! Eu amo minha cidade! Não troco por nada! Tem regiões do Brasil mais desenvolvidas como o Sul, que parece ser de país de primeiro mundo, mas não troco Salvador por nada. Quem conhece a cidade AMA!
