In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveller and RUclips creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveller, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on RUclips, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.
Living nomadically since 2016, I settled in England in early 2022 after marrying my British husband, David. Now based in the UK, I continue to travel and share my adventures on RUclips.

No offense to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, but if a friend of mine told me “I have just 10 days of vacation, which of the four countries should I visit?”, most-most probably (depending on my friend’s interests), my answer would be “Uzbekistan”. Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva have been the highlights for me in this four-month trip.
I’d say Kazakhstan is awesome if you are in the mood to rent a car and just… drive, for hours, alone or with good company, just drive, not see another car for hours, just you, the flat terrain and the blue sky, “lose yourself” in the immense… emptiness of Kazakhstan.
Kyrgyzstan is ideal for trekking lovers, particularly the area around lake Issyk-Kul is a trekker’s paradise, especially if you can combine it with staying at yurts.
As for Tajikistan, this is just my third day in Dushanbe, I have liked everything I’ve seen thus far, but… risking a “verdict”, yeah, if someone asked me “where should I go? Just 10 days”, the answer looks self-evident to me, Uzbekistan.
Very well-shot video, as always. And hey, great that you had your husband to share that awesome room. :-):-):-) I’m so desperate for a biiit of “luxury” that I’m considering spending 35-40 euros for a single night, having spent the last 100 days at - very nice, but still - hostels. 🙂

All these buildings in Samarkand and Bukhara were built in the 14th-15th to 19th centuries by the Turkic dynasties that ruled these lands, the Timurids, Sheibanids, Ashtarkhanids and Mangyts are all Turks and it has nothing to do with the Persians.

In 1924, the Tajik Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was established as part of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1929, it became an independent republic and was renamed the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic (Tajik SSR, Таджикская ССР). However, the predominantly ethnically Tajik cities of Samarkand and Bukhara remained within the Uzbek SSR.

Halo Mbak Syifa, mau tanya dong:
    1. Untuk pembelian ticket kereta api kl mau ambil rute Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara harus online in advance atau bisa lsg on the spot di station?

Kyrgyzstan is not that develop like Uzbekistan and not many tourist visit this country ! Uzbekistan was part of Soviet Union and during that time all the buildings was converted to storage’s and not renovated ! It good that Uzbekistan seperate from Soviet influence and find own road to the future ! Kyrgyzstan unfortunately is still in Soviet time !
