If the "bolt" or striker was a bit lighter, and the action a bit better sealed, the gun could become self-cocking.
If the barrel was a screw-on/off type, the action would be completely sealed, plus you could quickly swap barrels to reload the gun, or reload a singular barrel more comfortably, with longer matches, after it's removed.
Also, the cocking handle could be placed on top to make the gun ambidextrous. If you add a front sight, then the cocking handle could act as the rear sight.

I think the simple form is good as it is so people can add their own touch and refine it as they like. Sometimes the tutorial video like this makes things too complicated

Vaya! si que sabes aconsejar💀 creo que si lo hace como tu dices, y en el lugar del cañón y la recámara le pone una barrita de acero sólida imantada de la punta, puede ser una buena clavadora para carpintero. Y no ne esita mira, crea una idea bonita con la mira, ponla en madera y vende ojitos para puertas😊 Oye, hay que tener temor de Dios, pronto Dios hará juicios más grandes que los que hemos visto, Dios te ama, mejor arrepiéntete y orienta tus ideas a proyectos que abonen a construir la paz, a realizar herramientas útiles para la vida y no para muerte ¿no sabes tu que Dios es amor y nos hizo para alabanza de su Gloria y Satán vino para tentar a las almas y llevarlas a condenación si le obedecen? Ты кого пытался удивить ?:) Мое детство прошло когда любой ребенок собирал зрывпакеты . Шарики в изоленте при ударе об бетоную плиту , лопалась бетоное перекрытие . Всего лишь нужно сурик свенцовый ( корабельная краска)и серебоянка все это в бумажный стаканчик и пару камушек шебня и изолента . Питарды отдыхают . Главное какой эффект ты зочешь достигнуть , если вспышка то больше серебрянки , если звуковой эффект то три к одному мешать нужно. В мое детство небыло не приставок , не телефонов , по этому развлекались как кто мог , даже силитрой , бутылка или дымовуха из тенесных шариков для настольного тениса . 😂😂
