I wish they would bring up the fact we can watch electrons firing in the brain under an MRI while people are making decisions. We can see the process in motion. We can see the difference between a psychopath and a normal person. We can see where empathy comes from in the brain.
I can't understand the atheist's position, Tjump was saying we don't have a soul because a tumor can cause a person to act a certain way, hence that person isn't responsible for their actions, implying that our actions are determined by our physical brains, but at the same time he claims we have free will, but neither of them explained how that is possible, if what they say is true then our brains are basically like a computer program making calculations based on the programming of each individuals brain, and you don't send a computer program to jail when it does something bad, you try to reprogram it Also the tumor example doesn't mean there isn't a soul, if you take the back panel off your TV and start poking at the components you'll eventually mess the picture up, or even break the TV all together, but that doesn't mean the picture on the TV was coming solely from the components in the TV, it was getting the signal from outside the TV.
I think he was saying that our personality can totally change after brain damages. I think you're saying that even if that's the case, it would simply be interference with the soul? I don't see the objection with free will as it's a different point (I don't even know if both atheist agree on free will). The point about jail is still valid even if you believe that free will doesn't exist : you can still protect others from harm, and give a chance for the offender to change. It's a pragmatic solution.
@@fr3d42 Its not that its interfering with the soul, its just interfering with the physical body the soul needs to operate in this physical world, the same way messing with the components on a TV isn't going to mess with the source signal, yes jail makes sense as a way to protect people, but not as a way to rehabilitate the offender, an offender can't really reflect on his actions if he's just a moist robot.
@@fr3d42 If we don't have free will then we're just moist robots, I know the atheists believe they have free will but they can't explain how, our personality is part of our soul, but as I said before the soul needs the physical body in this physical world, just like a broadcast signal needs a TV, the soul needs a brain to operate our physical body.

Third, I am not yet convinced that this God has tried. Fourth, and final point, I'm still waiting. And, 5th and really final, how would you yourself know about an individual non-believer not believing when some evidence is demonstrated? That is a very bold and unfair assertion. Leading scientists do not fully understand consciousness therefore god did it is not an argument it is giving up on understanding reality.
@@matthewoborne1649 *"simple human biology"* Are you serious or trolling? The cell is the most complex and most elegantly designed system man has ever witnessed. "To grasp the reality of life as it has been revealed by molecular biology, we must magnify a cell a thousand million times until it is twenty kilometers in diameter and resembles a giant airship large enough to cover a great city like London or New York. What we would then see would be an object of unparalleled complexity and adaptive design. On the surface of the cell, we would see millions of openings, like port holes of a vast space ship, opening and closing to allow a continual stream of materials to flow in and out. If we were to enter one of these openings we would find ourselves in a world of supreme technology and bewildering complexity... (a complexity) beyond our own creative capacities, a reality which is the very antithesis of chance, which excels in every sense anything produced by the intelligence of man..." says Michael Denton, professor of biology. So, don`t dare to say human biology is simple when just ONE SINGLE cell blows everyone's mind, even the most sophisticated and intelligent scientists can not fully grasp its complexity. When it comes to life, everything is COMPLICATED and EXTREMELY COMPLEX! Nothing is simple in what we call life. The only reason we have evolutionists is that they are looking at reality from a very,, very, very limited and superficial perspective. Life is MORE than dead matter. Just one tiny cell destroys anything you can call "random" "chance" "blind process".

Aron asked the fundamental question of providing a tangible piece of evidence for a soul and it's a good question but like Cliffe said, if chemicals are just firing in your head, you have no free will. There's a chain reaction of chemical movement telling you to move your arm to drink some water. Chemicals being self aware of itself and its own function is too odd for me to wrap my head around. Chemicals putting itself in harms way to protect someone you love or blocking 'messages' from other chemicals (instincts as Cliffe said) that perpetuate your 'physical' reason for living (hormones telling you to mate with as many people as possible or to kill someone who might be mean to you) gives these reactions a nature not so easily explained by just the physical, especially when you consider almost all other chemical reactions can be repeated with the same or very similar reactions every time like a robot. It's just what I get out of this and why I believe we aren't just physical. I have a very difficult time thinking it's all chemical reaction. I can't prove for a soul but I can understand through this reasoning why it makes the most sense.
It can be a very hard thing to wrap your head around yes, but then again so is how a computer works. A computer turning electricity into the very thing we use to communicate is a very complicated thing. At the end of the day it's nothing more than just physical components making our digital world. Does that mean computers have souls too? We even have a way to get computers to start making their own decisions at this point in time, and even have a personality if we let it grow. Does that mean it has a soul? We found a way to get computers to mimic how our brains work, and therefore can learn, grow and even become sentient at some point if all the pieces fall into the right place.
@@ForgedinPrint The analogy is only ever meant to be an analogy, not a comparison. Yes everything in a computer is physical (electricity and whatnot) and we understand the program because we designed it. AI does not make its own decisions nor does it have a personality; it uses randomly generated numbers through an algorithm to make it seem like it has a personality but spend 5 minutes with it and you'll see how shallow it is. While much of human behavior is physical chemical, not everything is. Love, logic, justice, morality, ethics, among other things are immeasurable immaterial. Seems more logical to me to believe in a God who gave us souls rather than sentient lifeforms with perfect structure generated by an extremely chaotic and deteriorating universe.
@@outseteddy6306 Love is a chemical reaction logic, justice, morality and ethics are all subjective things. Love we literally can fuck with chemically. All the other things once we change the chemical balance in the brain those change too, it's just a little more complicated.
@@ForgedinPrint I agree, at least from your point of view, those things are subjective EXCEPT logic, but the point is these things exist not physically and cannot be measured. Regardless of the chemicals in our body, the logic of 2+2=4 will alway be true. How do you measure logic, justice, etc. physically if ALL of our world is purely material? You can give and receive love freely. I do not deny much of it is chemical, but I don't believe it all is. I don't know you but I love you where I wouldn't want you hurt and if I knew your life was in danger I'd try to prevent it. This benefits me biologically in no real way yet it is true. I.E. when you say ‘I believe’, you’re often inferring faith based on your belief, because the two have become almost interchangeable. I say ‘almost’ because it doesn’t always work, and, when it does work, it can still be misleading or confusing. The sort of definition of faith that you are importing here does not necessarily lead to a belief in a God. It is not fair to reduce the word faith to just simply definitions that relate to religion and spirituality. Sometimes we use the word faith as a more colourful way to express that we trust someone. But that trust is expressed based on demonstrable values. And we are using the word faith in that context more colloquially. when we use the word belief, it is usually when we have high confidence in a proposal or idea based on a gut feeling or an intuition, but usually it is an absence of evidence for that proposal. The issue with TJump's analogy about the walls at 1:05:50 is that the brick and walls are not contradictory. The bricks and the wall are both operated under the same laws of logic. The brick is the building blocks of the wall So the essence of the wall are bricks. However, to say rationality comes from irrationality is erroneous because they are contradictory. Rationality does not spring forth from irrationality. To use Tjump's analogy, his rationale behind rationality springing forth from irrationality is like suggesting that a solid wall can spring forth from the gaseous state of air. They are completely contradictory. You cannot build a solid wall from the gaseous state of air. Side note, the wall is only a wall because human beings superimposed a meaning and purpose to the compiling, organizing and the arrangement of the bricks. Without human beings imposing a purpose to the specific and intended organization of the bricks, the bricks ceases to be described as a wall and it loses all of its meaning. The purpose and meaning was ascribed to the wall by humans. The consequence is the same when stripping God out of your worldview. The human being ceases to have meaning. They cease to have purpose. They are simply just in a state of being waiting to expire. What makes it worst is all the memories, achievements, and accomplishment that seemingly out live you will eventually fade out into oblivion thus showing you that life is meaningless without God.

Aron in saying something is wrong admits an existence of a right which contradicts his own position he’s simply rebelling against God, atheism is simply choosing to deny true right.
Aaron shows you why believing in God is better because if you have no God you just become darker without the recognition, just look at the different auras each person gives off, I don’t think its a coincidence, Jump seems like a good person but his views on the world limit himself and his true potential, if everything was just physical we wouldn’t as humans have the gift to manifest news creations from the realm of thought, we like to look at the neurological activity as what’s actually happening in our minds but when observing the neurotransmitters as complex as it is that is just the surface of what the mind is actually experiencing, when u observe the quantum activity of anything things get more unpredictable because thats where conscious things lay at, it doesn’t follow patterns we recognize because certain activities makes it’s own decisions just like we do, we’ll never be able to meet measures up with what makes this reality real because then you would have to be coming in and out of time which we kinda are doing without our control ....so we will find our answers just not in this time 🌌

Yet Cliffe and Stuart gave arguments that are so self evident that nobody can deny we have choice. We sincerely need to pray for those atheists as atheism is driving them mad.
As science often deals with things that are concrete and measurable, it would probably have more to do with houses asserting that there is a soul Define what a soul is, how it can be detected, and so on. Based on that description, scientists can develop strategies, tests, to determine whether such assertions are based in reality or not. It is not incumbent upon scientists to demonstrate that something is real or not based on other people's assertions when those assertions are based initially on subjective claims. Any thoughts? The only claim you could say T and A made is that we are simply molecules but never explained how these molecules were actually designed. The metaphor about the wall that Tom needs to explain is who made the formula to create the wall? Just like a cook makes a specific formula/recipe for a meal, if you add too much or too little of something that completely ruins the final product. TJump and Aron need to answer who or what designs the wall, the meal, the universe and consciousness.
Cliff: Your self is a soul, the real you that is making choices and reasoning. Aron: I know that we make choices and reasons. That fits into our perspective. Show us this other thing that is not within our perspective. If they could explain from the first place what they understand and what they mean what they say the word "soul", the debate would have ended sooner and Aron wouldn't have to keep asking for proof or evidence of this other "thing", that he wants them to provide evidence for.
Actually they do. It also why men have an urge to do dirty things. Hormones. You are naive and insecure so you try to express yourself through conformation bias. All explainable with evolution.
If the words coming out of your mouth are just the product of evolution and were predetermined entirely by a causal chain of physical events I have no reason to believe they are true or not. What is the chemical compound of truth? If all of this is just matter and energy/macroevolution a man raping and killing a woman is no different than some giant rocks falling onto her, as well as your reaction to it and your choice about how to deal with it is no different than the wind blowing. I sincerely doubt that you live your life consistent with that line of thinking.
Our soul is immaterial. 1 God created matter in the first verse of the Bible & so says the first law of thermodynamics which says: matter cannot be created nor destroyed. having a God do it is the best explanation we’ve come up with so far in the human race. 2 In the second verse of the Bible says in the spirit of God brooded over the face of the deep. Is Gods spirit made of material? No 3 according to Colossians 1: 16 and 17 he created everything; the material & immaterial , the visible and invisible. So the Bible clearly says he created everything that’s invisible but still made of matter implying that he is not. 4 Psalm 139, 14 to 16 God talks about DNA information it says “in my members you have written many books. “ John 4 says God is spirit those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. 5 Also when we are born again, the Holy Spirit will inhabit our bodies (several places in the Bible says this) that would be in our matter in DNA if God was material matter. But x-rays do not change once were born again, proving that when the Holy Spirit in habits a believer the Holy Spirit is not material matter. DNA does not auto encrypt, it did not make itself, the code writer is outside the code. 6 Jesus can walk through walls in his glorified body yet he ate fish too so seems like we are both once we become like him and get our new bodies.
Cliffe needs a crash course in logic. Choice is not infinite; we simply make a choice from limited options at each instance, and nobody chose to ‘like’ pizza, or anything for that matter, you simply have a higher than likely probability to choose the things you are hardwired to like. The Red Queen effect comes into play that determines choice in a world out to kill you. The stoics debated ethics way before anyone even uttered the word Christ and therefore predates Christian morality for choices that impact others.
Aron is deeply disturbed, i feel for these people who are decieved...they have no idea the torment that awaits them when they die and are judged by God.

I can't understand the atheist's position, Tjump was saying we don't have a soul because a tumor can cause a person to act a certain way, hence that person isn't responsible for their actions, implying that our actions are determined by our physical brains, but at the same time he claims we have free will, but neither of them explained how that is possible, if what they say is true then our brains are basically like a computer program making calculations based on the programming of each individuals brain, and you don't send a computer program to jail when it does something bad, you try to reprogram it
Also the tumor example doesn't mean there isn't a soul, if you take the back panel off your TV and start poking at the components you'll eventually mess the picture up, or even break the TV all together, but that doesn't mean the picture on the TV was coming solely from the components in the TV, it was getting the signal from outside the TV.

Third, I am not yet convinced that this God has tried.
Fourth, and final point, I'm still waiting.

@@matthewoborne1649
*"simple human biology"* Are you serious or trolling? The cell is the most complex and
most elegantly designed system man has ever witnessed.
"To grasp the reality of life as it
has been revealed by molecular biology, we must magnify a cell a
thousand million times until it is
twenty kilometers in diameter and resembles a giant airship large
enough to cover a great city like
London or New York. What we would then see would be an object
of unparalleled complexity and
adaptive design. On the surface of the cell, we would see millions of
openings, like port holes of a vast space ship, opening and closing to allow a continual stream of
materials to flow in and out. If we
were to enter one of these openings we would find ourselves in
a world of supreme technology and
bewildering complexity... (a complexity) beyond our own creative
capacities, a reality which is the very antithesis of chance, which excels in every sense anything
produced by the intelligence of man..." says Michael Denton, professor of biology.

Who do you say is more capable of grasping an idea accurately?
How can aronra say he doesn't have freewill and he is only chemicals ahahahahahahahahhaah ??
I'm replying to this before I've even watched the video:
It's called determinism (and sometimes causal determinism) and is very interesting - do look it up and have a good long read. I find it more plausible than free will. I can immediately poke holes in free will by pointing out the limitations of any particular individual's circumstances, knowledge, hormonal state and/or cognitive ability. It's much harder to argue with determinism. You're pretty much stuck with "but I don't wanna!"
Cliff: "Rationality does not come from matter and energy, it comes from a mind"
Aron Ra: "Yes it does"
Aron needs to reflect on the notion of the mind... hopefully that will help him stay in the present moment in these debates and not get "angry".
I think we all would like to see Aron Ra become a better "atheist" (assuming you believe in that notion) as this would enable people like Cliff, and Stuart, to be challenged.
Otherwise... the debate ends up being pathetic because the criticisms provided by the "atheists" are not useful enough to cast doubt on anything and the "truths" that are shared by Cliff and Stuart are so self-evident that they can only be "miss-characterized" and "emotionalized" by the doubts...
My suggestion... both sides need a skewb. Start cubing and you will see with content improve drastically.

@@fr3d42 They are different. But it’s a very subtle difference.
“I trust, based on his good character, that he will return what he borrowed.”
This is *faith* that comes from a *belief* about a person.
That’s the best I can explain it.
I think the confusion comes from misnomers, where one word is substituted for another (originally to shortcut speech). I.E. when you say ‘I believe’, you’re often inferring faith based on your belief, because the two have become almost interchangeable. I say ‘almost’ because it doesn’t always work, and, when it does work, it can still be misleading or confusing.
Ludwig Wittgenstein - “Philosophy is a battle against the bewitchment of our intelligence by means of our language.”

@@somerandom7672 This is very interesting. The two words are often interchanged and the definition isn't always clear.

Faith is a choice, it is blind trust in something I have no good reason to believe.
I totally understand Aron position that he does not have faith in his life, I feel the same.
That's not to say there is anything wrong with that of course, so long as your belief is not imposed on others.
But, again, colloquially we can use the word belief to imply Trust. This is just how our language Works in English.

As science often deals with things that are concrete and measurable, it would probably have more to do with houses asserting that there is a soul Define what a soul is, how it can be detected, and so on. @@The_Indomitable_Human_Spirit_1 First, you used a double negative. You used "don't" twice in one sentence. Second, your statement made no point, at all.
@@The_Indomitable_Human_Spirit_1No, YOU just don't understand!
See, two can play this pointless game.
@@The_Indomitable_Human_Spirit_1 All you're doing is asserting Tom is right and I'm misunderstanding, without giving any basis as to why or how. Hence, it's a pointless comment. It's just your biased opinion.
@@The_Indomitable_Human_Spirit_1Asserting you're right isn't an argument. That's all you're doing.
Yes.a brick makes a wall..think..2 bricks makes a wall also...half a brick makes a wall too
1:41:20 This is the truth. I Thank God He showed me that!
Cliffe and Stuart were the only ones making claims, Tom and Aron did not make any claims only rebutted the claims Cliffe and Stuart were making which is pretty freaking easy to do.
Atheists lose these debates every single time 🤣
Cliff: Your self is a soul, the real you that is making choices and reasoning.
My chemicals chose for me to write this comment
lol
Inductive generalization is faith. The self is not an observable quantifiable object.
Settle down, Arrrrrr-Ron. HAHAHA
Yikes.
No
3 according to Colossians 1: 16 and 17 he created everything; the material & immaterial , the visible and invisible. So the Bible clearly says he created everything that’s invisible but still made of matter implying that he is not.
4 Psalm 139, 14 to 16 God talks about DNA information it says “in my members you have written many books. “
John 4 says God is spirit those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.
First Law was amended to include energy, because E = m x c x c! Einstein forced us to recognize the conservation of Matter & Energy, not just Matter.
Dan Weaver still doesn’t change anything I said, I knew about energy as well, just focusing on the material to get the point across.
ARON is literally like a 17 yr old kid ! Hahahahaha This guy is hilarious! Well, or 'sad' at the same time.
Wrong wrong and wrong
@@darkeen42 Proverbs 18:2 a fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
Aron is deeply disturbed, i feel for these people who are decieved...they have no idea the torment that awaits them when they die and are judged by God.
Maybe they repent before
I'd be full of joy if they do repent!
I think they have an inkling of the torment to come as a result of the current torment they face while wrestling against their guilty consciences. Hence, the need to abuse drugs to sear their consciences and live in cognitive dissonance. I pray for their souls, that God may choose to forgive them.
Hey you know that dude who shot up the school... It wasn't his fault. He didn't choose to do it, it was matter and energy that made him do it.
@@The_Indomitable_Human_Spirit_1 Probably because you don't like it. It's actually the truth from a atheist point of view. Since we don't have free will the school shooter didn't freely choose to shoot up the school, so thefore it wasn't his fault if he didn't freely choose to do it. I mean after all we're all just made up of matter and our choices are already pre determined.
It's not my fault your guys logic doesn't make sense in logical situations. On the other hand it makes more sense from a Christian point of view, because we actually know we have Free Will so thefore we know that there are consequences to our actions.
@@The_Indomitable_Human_Spirit_1
Says the one who can't even defend his own logic. Thanks but I'd rather not fall into the ignorance of atheism.
@@The_Indomitable_Human_Spirit_1
Then explain.
The sarcastic analogy makes zero sense David, emotions is energy in motion and matter is already present, it could be exactly that ...
@@The_Indomitable_Human_Spirit_1 fuck what Aron & Jump we’re defending they are WRONG, its funny the highest race of atheists are white people which is no coincidence at all because God couldn’t be in anyone’s life who thinks they rule the place they temporarily live on, white people honestly are separated from every other culture world wide & also only put all their time & energy into science, law & politics...think about it the white race is the newest race here meaning you guys are still figuring out answers that were already here before you, if we banned man made law you guys would swear the world would be in chaos again but the truth is you guys just view yourself as God you view yourself as the ones who make decisions for the overall people which can’t be a humans responsibility unless they want to be God, you just don’t want to learn the truth from the people who come here before you, the Africans, all of your answers will be false finding it in America 🌌
