    Tigran is the greatest in the world in my opinion. His technical clarity, emotion, arch of song structure and solos. Soloing over quintuplets in 3 is no joke but to do it with such feeling cannot be heard anywhere but with Tigran.

      Matt! When will you finally collaborate with Tigran? We want an AAL song featuring Tigran so bad! I would literally sacrifice my newborn to the sungodess to witness something like this !

    I wish I understood rhythm well enough to transcribe Tigran’s solo. I’m in love with his music but it is so intimidating to transcribe.

    This is amazing. Saw him in Boston last night.Very far departure from this album.Sadly his American standards album lacks what makes him unique that is blend of Armenian and western music in creative ways that is truly remarkable.I hope Tigran goes back to his roots again.

      I didn't end up making it to that show unfortunately but didn't feel too bummed about it for that very reason. If it was his original material I definitely would've made it. Kinda bummed he's yet to play Call Within material in Boston

    Could someone explain what’s going on rhythmically in the coda/soloing section? It feels like a quintuplet groove in 4/4 but maybe I’m wrong?

    • @joeymacre
      @joeymacre 3 года назад +1

      Quintuplets in groupings of 3 quintuplet notes, lining up every 15 quintuplets, or 3 quarter notes

    • @UkuleleAversion
      @UkuleleAversion 3 года назад +1

      @@joeymacre And just to confirm it’s in 4/4? I watched Yogev Gabay’s analysis and he seems to agree with you.

      @@UkuleleAversion yeah still 4/4, nate wood somehow balances both the regular backbeat and quintuplet 3 groupings on drums very smoothly
