The Netherlands was liberated from the Nazis officially on May 5, 1945. WWII in Europe ended on May 8, 1945 - celebrated in the UK on this day. Russia celebrates freedom in their country and Europe every year on the next day - May 9.
In honor of 75 years of freedom in The Netherlands and Europe, I will be uploading more videos of beautiful Warbirds in May, June and September, to commemorate Bevrijdingsdag / Liberation Day, D-Day and Operation Market Garden.

Aircraft: RNLAF Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX
Reg.number: H-25 / 3W-17 (officially now PH-OUQ)
This beautiful RNLAF Spit was built in 1943 and fought during D-day in June 1944.
In 1946 the 322 Fighter Plane Division (322 JaVA) was established, which in 1947 was renamed the 322 squadron, where this Dutch Spit flew as H-25.
