Code Lyoko is French not Canadian & fun fact the context is that the villain was controlling a laughing gas cloud & water was the only way to help anyone that was infected. The guy, Odd getting water poured on him was really close to literally laughing to death so they had to pour it on him there.
I agree, Code Lyoko is known for having characters with big foreheads along with Jeremy's inconsistant voice changing in every other episode. And yet, the show still holds a special place in my heart.

1:35 funny thing is I DID see it in a theater and about half way through the movie where things are looking down and Kuzco stops the movie to break the 4th wall, he goes “Wait wait, stop the movie” and at that exact moment the fire alarms went off and we all had to evacuate the theater.
