the clay is edible, so is the starch but only to an extent. if you swallow starch every day it can get dangerous because it expands when in touch with liquid, that means it’s „puffing up“ inside the stomach and that causes clogging. i’ve heard someone died because of that but i don’t know if that’s just fake news 😬 she used to swallow it but now i think she’s just chewing it and spitting it out after, as the previous comment already said. i hope i could answer your question lol (edit: if my english is off, i’m sorry lmao it’s not my first language)
