- This issue should cover over the rest of the Crossfire model years as well as the Mercedes-Benz SLK320.
Don't let a locksmith charge you 1000's to fix this issue and don't let the dealer tell you, you need to come to them in order to do this job. The ignition module is separate from the key/ignition switch, so you don't need there computer to recode the module. If you are mechanically inclined you should be able to do this fix.

I am also having the same problem it's been a year already and still haven't found anyone to help ... does anyone know a way to fix it or know someone ?
? Did it start your car after u took that part out mine didn't work after I took it out
oh yes the car started with no problems. It works better now than before. Are you still working with yours? I might be able to help out...
Why don't show how you got the ignition out
Well I never showed this step becaue of the way I had to remove it. I had to do some drilling due to how my key was not unlocking the steering column. I could explain more if you need to know this step or I can point you to that video...
