OOMG. See that Auntie Annie's pretzel shop? Back in the day - it was a gift shop that sold stuff related to the House of Frankenstein . I bought a HOF coffee mug and it broke about when I was in high school (1978) . TODAY that mug is worth about $200.00 to $300.00 ! A LOT has changed here since 1975 when it opened. But the GIFT SHOP had all this cool stuff for sale -- today- worth a fortune !!
Lake George village Lake George NY is a wonderful place. I have been there many times.
Everybody calls him Frankenstein but its MONSTER. Frankenstein is the doctor.
i will always call him (the Monster) Adam after his name taken from I, Frankenstein.
The red mask is from Bram Stoker's Dracula. Part of Drac's armour.
Beat me to it
Ah... I knew it looked familiar. : )
The Gary Oldman version
Thank you
You beat me to it
I am a local. I live in Bolton. Frankensteins wax museum is one of my favorite places!! 😊
I grew up in NY and my family vacationed every summer in Lake George I have sooo many great memories of this place that just got reactivated thank you for sharing
Hah! Jacob's commentary getting more hilareous with every scene. He just fishes them out of his carpet bag and throws them around. Incredible where they come from. Great Wax Museum, thanks for the tour and all to the point remarks you made.
It's alive, it's alive ... and now it's dead again, YES!
Thank you for covering this attraction, it's something out of my childhood. Been going there since I was like 7 years old....I'm 58 now.
I love Jacob's narration. Especially when he's making a guess about the theme of movies/books that he's never viewed!
I was very surprised about that. I thought that stuff was his schtick, but maybe he’s more into attractions and cryptids. He’s certainly got me beat on those tunnel things, whatever they’re called. Took me all of two minutes to forget...
I laughed when he suggested that chained prisoner should have a TV to watch. maybe he was referencing Sloth from The Goonies.
Me and my family have been going to Lake George since 1974, and it’s a rite of passage for the kids to go in when they turn 12. Me and my cousins are turning 12 this year so I wanted to know what it was like. I am ready for it!!
Lake George is a beautiful place, haven't been there in decades. Looks like lots of changes. I remember Gas Light Village.
Actually, not much has changed.
youre one of my favorite youtubers
I have a friend who whenever you say Frankenstein he corrects you and says it's Frankenstein's monster.Everyone gets it when we call it just Frankenstein.
Omg I went to LG all my childhood. I always looked forward to Frankenstein on the sidewalk saying hello. Love this place representing New York!!!!!
Love you Jacob and Jen. You guys always put a smile on my face
My siblings told me the werewolf exhibit originally had it approaching the little girl from behind in her bedroom and the lights went out right before it makes a grab for her and you hear her scream. They changed it to it reaching for her from a window. They must have renovated it to make room for the Freddy Krueger/Jason Voorhees exhibit that came much later.
I love that a 2 second shot of the exterior is a sufficient introduction. HOUSE OF STEIN YALL
I am a big fan of Frankie. Thanks for taking me along!
Carpetbagger! I see you're kicking around upstate NY!
In Rochester New York there are some really cool attractions! In particular the Margaret Woodbury Strong Museum, Artisan Works, Seneca Park Zoo, and Seabreeze Amusement Park if it's still open!!!
It's cool seeing more classic monsters. Those effects were impressive....the Wolf Man lunge, and Dracula transformation.
Absolutely loved this!!
Road to 500k :D soon carpetbagger!!!
Great wax horror museum, and the attic ghost was a neat effect. The displays all seemed to work with the added fun of pushing the green buttons. You have been to so many of these but are still enthusiastic and enjoy them which makes it so much fun to watch!
Yeah, that ghost was pretty awesome. The mannequin had me skeptical but the ghost made up for it.
Attic Ghost is creepy!!
Wax Musuems are my fave. Every since one is different in their own special way. I think Ive watch all wax Musuem Vlogs on your Channel. Lol
I could not find any Count Delierge but there is Count De Lorge who was either a real or imagined (depending upon the source you go with) prisoner who had been in there over 30 years and was discovered in the Bastille when they stormed it in 1789. Also I was surprised to hear not only the Madame Leota scene from Disney's Haunted Mansion but also other sound effects from the ride. If Disney were to see this they would send them a cease and desist faster than Dracula turned into a bat.
Thanks for making these videos! I was lucky enough to watch a home movie of a family traveling the country in the 50s. No sound but the kid as grown man narrated it. Your videos are going to be absolutely top-notch amazing and 50 years!!!
I took my boys here last summer - such a trip! Loved it & totally worth the price of admission!
Go to Lake George for many decades now. Thanks for sharing.
“The attic ghost” was really cool
I absolutely enjoy watching your visits to different attractions Jacob I love wax museums. Thanks for sharing The House of Frankenstein wax museum,
I went here as a kid, and my brother HATED IT! We never wound up going inside again when we would visit Lake George, but this is really cool!
That place looks like a good time. I love attractions like this that are old school. I wish more of these types of attractions existed.
Loving the spooky content!
The red mask was part of Dracula's suit of armor before he became Dracula . When he was a conqueror of war.
Jacob it's the monster. Frankenstein is the mad scientist that created the monster.
Like in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein movie the monster says, HE NEVER GAVE ME A NAME
He is the doctors "son", in a sense.
Cool and awesome place. One of the best scary/creepy/animatronic museums I have seen on RUclips! Thank you for sharing it!
Excellent Jacob , you just keep getting better and better all the time , thanks for the adventures ❤
Awesome that you got noticed! Definitely wanting to check this place out
Gotta love Auntie Anne's famous pretzel dough and lemonades.
Another awesome video Carpetbagger 😍
Carpetbagger is becoming an specialist in flash light videos 😅
I love the sculptures in the entrance. Very detailed!
Yes, the red mask at the bottom of the case is a repro of the helmet that Gary Oldman wore in Coppola’s 1992 film ‘Bram Stoker’s DRACULA’. Eiko Ishioka designed the suit of armor as well as the other costumes.
5:10 I ❤ that place it’s fun and scary
Creature from the black lagoon is cool, you never see him that often. They could've added some breathing effects like in the original movie!
I love this place. I’ve been in it so many times it’s fun
That was a very interesting wax museum. A step up from regular wax museums as it is intereactive. Very cool and just in time for Halloween. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤
Use to work in that museum back un the 80s
Between this and the Adventureland L.I. vid, you've won me over. Great job, Jacob! Also, Long John is on the left, Ben Gunn is on the right.
I would go to Lake George almost every Summer in the 80s and 90s, with my parents. As a little kid, Frankensteins castle scared the Hell out of me. I couldnt even walk on that side of the street. Especially when someone dressed as Frankenstein would be out front, I would run right past!
It’s been a long time since I have been here… we always walk by & see Frankenstein greeting those who enter…. I remember the wax museum that was up the road (can’t remember the name!)a wax version of Marilyn Monroe was outside (I think it may have turned into a Pizza Hut ??) thank you for sharing!
Hey Jacob!! Congrats on 403k subs !!!!!🎉🎉🎊🎊🎈🎈
My very first “wax” museum! I live 15 miles from LG my whole life!❤️
i love the scary shooting gallery in knobells park?
the randomness of frankenstein and dracula and the mummy..and the one guy in JC penny sensible sansabelle slacks and nice button down and tie getting his head his liftted off by a creature
I think "The Mad Mortician" was a reference to Dr. Herbert West from the Re-Animator films
This is so cool and awesome
Dude, you should have had a warning message for this museum too. That was creepy sick. I was expecting like Frankenstein and other characters like wolfman and the mummy. That was torture type stuff. Wow.
I need to make friends with a local raven. Also, somebody needs to build an entire castle dedicated to Young Frankenstein. 😁
I would journey long distances for such an attraction, my dude.
@@BeeWhistler I would too!
Awesome video. Thank you
Your commentary / observations are so funny😂 Thanks Jacob 👌
I love Jacob the carpet bagger's commentary and the videos of the carpet bagger are amazing and this one is in the bag.
The pit was the first misfortune the character in the story experienced before fainting and waking up strapped to the table under the pendulum. In the Vincent Price movie, they put the apparatus on a platform over the pit itself, but in the story they're two different places.
The red mask is from Bram Stokers Dracula and the model next to it is a Bernie Wrightson model kit!
I was there back in 1985. My aunt and uncle lived in South Glenns Falls.
Man I love this part of lake George ngl.
The Count de Leirge i think is supposed to be the Comte de Lorge, He's supposedly a guy who was imprisoned in the darkest depth's of the bastille for years.
Aw, geez. You ALWAYS get to meet Frankenstein!
I loved seeing those "World of Illusions" effects showing up here.
Again, thank you so much for warning us that this video has flashing lights. I’m prepared to shut my eyes now!
✨🏰 🏴☠️😊Always loved this place. Back in the 80's through most of the 90's the squishy floor room used to have "floating" eyeballs and Echos by Pink Floyd playing in the background!👀🎶✨
Jacob , we love you thank you xxxx
That was amazing and crazy
I couldn't find much about Count Delierge on the web, but I did get results about someone named "Comte Des Lorges" who was a prisoner of the Bastille that many people thought was real but apparently he wasn't. Pics I saw of him on Google looked similar to his animatronic at LG. Maybe he was an example of the Mandela effect carried by other prisoners?
Frankenstein: me want to hang out with Jacob
Loved seeing this Lake George attraction, some of my old stomping grounds. Miss upstate NY a lot since moving to the desert nearly 20 years ago. Hope you had a blast there, Jacob.
ahh, guess the snow isn't missed as much
I like the Jekyll and Hyde exhibit
as someone whos been called Frankenstein my whole life cause of my last name, this somehow really speaks to me...
Another awesome vid, keep them coming carpetbagger!!
By the looks of this place, it has become a walk through haunted house as well!
Missed you at Dragon-Con with “ the gang”!
Man I’m about a hour away from lake George I wish I new you where there man!
in case you’re interested, haunt is coming up at Dorney Park in Allentown Pennsylvania- i HIGHLY suggest you come and check it out
Omg the last time I was there I was a kid great wax museum lake George is a nice place
The electric chair execution was graphic but good what a amazing place Jacob
There used to be a place kinda like this in Panama City Beach FLA called Castle Dracula. We used to go there in the late 70's early 80's.
Aww shucks just missed u. We were there last weekend. Had a great time there and great escape
was there years ago loved it!! thanks for the video!
My fav part was the vortex tunnel I’ve been through it but I almost actually fell off no joke lol 😂
Ooh this place is cool!
New here really enjoying your content. Especially the creepy haunts. 👻💫
Wowzer...what a complete display.....comment on Quasimodo; a genuine hero; one should read the Victor Hugo novel; such a classic, set in Notre Dame, and an exposition on the evil of some Church clergy...sad, descriptive....unique..... Also, you seem to be getting more comfortable with the whole dirigible, etc. ending....Love your work
DANG I wish I knew you stopped by I love 15 mins away from LG!
Passed by this place a couple of weeks ago on vacation. Weather felt like 100 degrees some days, dude outside must have been dying.
I remember going to this museum when I was like 11 and everything terrified me lol that was almost 20 years ago
OH MY GOD YOU NEVER SAW SILENT CLASSIC OF CHANEY OF HUNCHBACK OF NOTRA DAME OR PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. THERE ARE SCENES IN THAT FILM ARE WAY OF TIME GO SEEIT!❤
Frankenstein is the Doctor. He created the Monster.
So cool !!!
The creature from the black legoon was very comedic 😂😂 just how he popped up with that look had me rolling
Never the scariest monster movie so that’s on brand for him.
Thanks for going to all these crazy places. I can only visit some.
I feel like with that breathing staked vampire, the person who staked her just missed lol, since apparently it only kills them if it goes through the heart
