Give Yourself more credit... The sound blew Me away, The Gaming and Screen... etc... Your review has Me the most excited to get this in the mail Monday... Doesn't really take a lot to please Me... Thank You for this Video... It was the best I've seen Yet without boring Me to Death...
I just bought one of these for $169. I was going to install linux on it but I'm liking the Chrome OS and with the Linux beta thing in the Chrome OS, I think I'll be able to use Liber Office. But still, I'm going to see how I like google docs before trying Libre. This is a solid laptop for $231 or $169.
I've never had a Chromebook so I don't know if this is normal but I just got my Lenovo Chromebook 3 and I've barely been using it for half an hour but the left side of the chromebook both at the bottom and top of the keys is already becoming hot. It's not just a bit warm but it's pretty hot, I would rate it like a 7 (and it's only been about half an hour so it might even become hotter). Is this normal or should I contact Lenovo about it?
The $169 was at Walmart, this one is direct from Lenovo. The Wal-Mart one has 32GB or Storage and the one direct from Lenovo is 64GB. The Walmart price might be a sale price, but I am not positive. I bought mine directly from Lenovo when it was announced, so I was paying essentially full price.
5after12 the Walmart one is regular price. No difference but storage. I would personally buy the cheaper version because you can still use micro as storage
I have one of these and it used to work great....decent screen, speed, small but capable for moderate use and surfing. HOWEVER, i'ts out of warranty by a few months and it keeps shutting down with the screen going blank, also the wifi looses connection for no reason. (The house wifi works fine). The only way to restore is to hold down the power button for some time and maybe the home screen will come back. None of the usual "fixes" have made a difference.....power wash, shut down etc. Anybody else had this happen or know the cause or a solution???
This might happen when A program is running or trying to run and it just doesn't have the strength to do it, so You may have to Uninstall whichever program that might be... I installed 20 gigs of Linux space and It stopped shutting down On Me... Hope I could be of any Help...
Hey, I don't know if you remember me from the Galaxy Book ION RAM stuff. But I ended up buying it but im getting really frustrated with it. The windows won't shut down unless I force it too. And it won't sleep either. Clicking the shutdown button does nothing; same thing with the power button. Its really annoying because I just bought this.
I never had any of those issues with my Galaxy Book Ion, but I did return it and Samsung didn't give me any hassle with the return. I ended up getting the Lenovo Yoga C940 instead, which I should have a video on it up this weekend
I guess it is technically possible somehow, but certainly not in the traditional sense that a Windows machine would. In theory a Chromebook would be more secure than Windows or a MacBook.
yup. I installed the linux beta which is available through chromeos. I installed sublimetext, eclipse, jdk, android studio and pycharm. Now i'm good to go. If you are not compiling anything heavy like a huge ass project, you should be able to code with no problem on this thing. I am just in love with it.

I am pretty happy with it. We ran Stadia on it and it worked fine through the browser. For just standard web surfing it has had no issues.

I think it is cheaper at Walmart than on Lenovo dot.com -- possibly less storage? Does this have expandable SD?
Michael Corcoran yes it does (at least WalMart one does) sd card slot up to 128gb I believe
5after12 the Walmart one is regular price. No difference but storage. I would personally buy the cheaper version because you can still use micro as storage
Yeah, the Walmart one is a better option, but I ordered mine before realizing Walmart had such a good deal
