  • We’re Here to Help You and have produced a series of short videos to show you what we’ve put in place to keep you safe.
It’s vitally important that you look after yourself and access health services as you would normally do, if you have a concern…particularly if you are worried that you have symptoms consistent with Cancer.
This video features a new initiative from our Gastroscopy Team and what they’ve been doing in their department to keep you safe if you’ve been referred to the department by a GP.
The advice really does apply to any health concern you might have and reinforces the message that if you need to use any health service, you can do so with confidence.
Our services and those of the wider NHS are here for you, take a look at this video to find out more about how we can help you...

Thanks for this. I'm scheduled for a gastroscopy in two days and am super nervous about it. This video helped calm me quite a lot. Appreciated!

Thank you so much for this helpful informative video! I'm absolutely terrified to have this as have a major fear of vomiting. Is there any way to have a general anaesthesic to avoid gagging?

@@emmettburke5231 thank you guys... It went well &, the procedure went really quick. They didn't find anything. Just irritation from antibiotics that caused it. But the only thing I suffered with for a week after the gastroscopy was excruciating ear pain (right side)

@@emmettburke5231 Thank you.... our nerves and anxieties do get the better of us. You'll be glad once it's over because you won't have all these worries. I promise the 'worrying' is a lot worse than what actually happens. Just stay positive. I know you'll be fine 🖤✨

Indwelling canula, final decision rests with the patient and their consent.
