@@rubenarias6538 that should fall on the driver for involuntary manslaughter because logs are meant to be chained down and snug tight with chain blinders I work for a tree company before that’s how it was done when I was working there but your story sounds just like an accident unless the driver didn’t have the branches strapped down

    • @rubenarias6538

@@bradettinger3380 of course it was an accident wasn't putting it at final destination level. What I ment is that if you can avoid being behind a truck with objects like wood, pvc pipes, etc. I would recommend it since I've also seen an accident with a culvert pipe no one was injured but better safe than sorry. PS driver was at fault was driving to fast when he took the curve and tipped over straps ripped and the pipes rolled through the lanes.

I've talked to multiple truckers that deliver to a local lumber yard. All told me the lines behind them can get ridiculous lol. • @MikeGuerrero

That opening disaster scene is properly lauded as a classic. Most everything in it was practical effects, except for the catalyst i.e. the bouncing logs. Apparently in real life logs don't bounce that much when they're falling off a truck, so CGI logs were used.

I talked to one of the truckers, and he said it wasn't til he happened to see this on TV that it hit him why he'd been noticing incredibly long lines of cars behind him in the slow lane 😂😂😂. Said it STILL happens even today, and that he purposely was going only 55 on the interstate as an experiment a couple years ago. He got pulled over for disrupting the flow of traffic. When he told the young cop the story, he laughed so hard he let him off with a warning 😂😂😂

Not too long after Final Destination 2 was released, My sister had the log truck scene become a reality. She was following behind and a log came loose and flew off and hit the very front of the hood of her car causing the hood to fly up and block her windshield and she swerved off road and hit a tree head on. She hit her head and had a combination of 38 staples and stitches to her forehead. So the fear is definitely substantiated and anytime I drive and see one I have to pass them.

I love the fact of just how accurate death can be in real life. By that I mean pretty much anything around us can kill us under the right circumstances. Falling for example is the biggest cause of accidental death in homes. And the number one spot accindental death happens, bathrooms. These movies taught me to be cautious constantly. Not at a paranoid level of course. But enough that I was way more careful. Like having water on the floor, walking around with a knife in my hand...etc.

Yeah. She was a great final girl. Shame they killed her off, especially since she one of the best characters in the franchise and a genuine likable person, but I guess it makes sense that she would only be able outrun Death but for so long, as long as she was out of her padded room. This movie alone showed how hard Death was trying hard to get her after her multiple times in this movie alone. She's the last one on her particular list, there' no waiting for the others to go first last the last kovie, so Death can get her literally at any moment. You can only be 100% on guard for so long...

    • @notyouraveragebear9326

Especially since she was far more interesting than the girl that actually did survive. Hell, she was far better than most of the characters in the franchise...

The best of the series, created nightmares for everyone. While the rest of the movies are mixed after this, they can still be fun. And the last one has the best twist ever. So watch it all of them for no other reason then that. Warning though, when "3d movies" was a massive thing, you will be able to tell in one or two of the movies. They were more going got the 3D stuff then a good story or deaths.

The worst part about the highway scene is that they filmed it where I lived, in Campbell River. And I graduated that year and had to drive a lot between Victoria where I moved for University and Campbell River to visit family on breaks. That highway is a 3-3.5 hour drive and at the time the lumber mill was still open I believe so there'd be those trucks all over. The speed limit on it was like 120km/hr or 130km/hr at the time too so as a 17/18 year old it was all I'd think about, haha.

Oh man.....the movies back in the day are still the best. Even if it was heavily criticized by the disgruntled writers, I personally enjoyed that compared to the present day. Glad I found this channel to relate I hope 🍻👍

Also, a heads up, but the editing on the audio was fairly messed up and kept repeating at several points. You may want to check into it!

The man on the elevator with hooks looks similar. Was he in the conjuring as the ghost puppet?

    Fun Facts
Originally, Devon Sawa was to reprise his role of Alex Browning in this film, but a dispute concerning his contract with New Line Cinema could not be settled. So the had to write him off.
Originally they had use real logs for the opening catastrophe, but they didn’t bounce enough for that scare effect, so they used CGI logs.
The car Evan drives is A 1987 Pontiac FireBird
The Accident on the highway was based on a real Pile Up that happened on Interstate 75 in Ringgold,GA on March 14th, 2002 with a total of 125 car piled up.
Alex ‘s death was gonna have him die from a flesh eating bacteria but went with the brick instead.
When Nora tucks Tim in at night, dimming the lights, his face is illuminated with a skull outline, foreshadowing his death.
There is a myth that when a bird hits your window, somebody you know is going to die.
Nora's death is based on a real life incident: Dr. Hitoshi Nikaidoh, a surgical resident at a Houston hospital, was decapitated by a malfunctioning elevator in 2002. The doctor's shoulders were pinned by the doors, which then allowed the ceiling to slice off most of his head as the elevator continued to move upwards.
When Eugene tried to commit suicide with a gun, the gun had six bullets in it, which marked him as the sixth survivor to die.
According to the book, the fire that kills Clear and Eugene was originally started by a birthday cake.
There’s a lot of stuff from this movie and the other movies I’ve looked into and I’m glad y’all are watching it and can’t wait til y’all watch the rest of the movies number 3 is my favorite

Only reason Devon Sawa didn’t return for this movie is because he really blew up after the first movie. He got really busy filming other things and couldn’t return when they were filming. The writer did intend for Alex to return and have a baby with Clear.

I sure as hell wear my seatbelt and am adamant that anyone who rides in our car wears one because I have seen all those psas about driving safety and stuff and know the dangers of not wearing one. With that said, my SIL doesn't usually wear hers and neither does my brother and it really aggravates me.

    CLAIR DIES BY FIRE!!!
