- Today we are installing whitelines positive shift kit.
This replaced the shift rubber bushings in the transmission cross member.
Each bushing is a subtle difference. All together will be a big difference.

Bro take your time with the vids! You literally have helped me in some way with almost every video so I’m just appreciating the content!
Thanks for making all the content 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching!
Keep the videos coming! I love them.
I'm planning on doing the Group N transmission mount and didn't even know these bushing existed! Thanks! Awesome content, keep it up!
Definitely do this at the same time! Its a solids upgrade.
What grease did you use? And where does it have to be applied?
I just used some generic grease from advanced auto. It’s purple so it looks kinda cool. I lube up the bushing to prevent squeaks. Just a light coat on the contact surfaces.
@@JoeyMontalto thanks!
Where do you find torque specs for stuff? I’m scared to do it without knowing
Torque specs?
What does it feel like after installing these bushings? Any NVH?
No increased nvh noticed. Shifts feel firm and how they should!
would you recommend the (Whiteline) positive shift bushing kit before or after a stiffer (Group-N) transmission mount? Or, do both at the same time? What does more to control the movement of the transmission during shift sequences, the 4 little bushing on the brackets or the actual trans mount?
Hey I’d think for the cost do both! When you do the trans mount you have to take the cross member off. The positive shift kit installs in that cross member. The stock bushings for the cross member are very soft too. I noticed different doing both separately. I’m sure you will notice doing both the same time
@@JoeyMontalto... Thanks. I have the group-n, but still need to install it. Looks like I will acquire the shift kit and install them together. Cheers. 🏁
awesome
What are you applying at the 5:33 mark? a grease? Did you put any threadlock on the bolts?
Hey thanks for watching! I put a small amount of grease on the new bushing before sliding it in.
Can someone tell this man he doesn't have a 2020???😅😅
So how does it feel after?!
So far I have not noticed any increased nvh. Feels firm and how it should
Gotta say the vb chassis is so ugly! If doing the bushing kit do the mount at the same time, however the difference is next to nothing. If you say you feel a difference you probably Lu run a butt dyno with a 2 hp tolerance
so you say fuck it dont do either?
