Well you did it again. You melted my heart when you booped Olivia’s nose. And then told her you loved her and thanked her for coming into your life. That’s all the things I used to do for my pup. It’s funny how you save them and they save you. An unconditional love. Thanks Paul for making me cry for being happy. You are a good man!

This is exactly what I came here to say. As far as I can see, there is NOTHING wrong with the washer. Just get a drain hose.

Me too i was watching water was flowing out draining im like u need a line to that or it will run out the back forever ....I bet he took washer to scrap yard .use have all lines (hot cold drain) Ll hooked up to test a washer and the power of course...sorry Paul

Great video, Paul! Except for the washing machine. The drain hose needs to be there for the tub to fill. It needs to be elevated to the height of the tub, to the level of the drain pipe in the average house. The loss of the hose may be why it's gone to the curb. New (or serviceable) hose may fix it. Oh well, maybe. Olivia is sooo sweet!! God made a good match with you two!
Paul your washer needs a drain hose that rises above the tub of the washer. I'm sure you've seen that on washers before. Try it before throwing it away.

Paul you need the drain hose the drain hose is above water level the reason why there is a pump just put the drain hose on and hold it up like it was hooked in the drain pipe and it will stop dumping out the water

You need the hose with the crook neck on it which will put it above the level of the water in the tub. At the end of the cycle the pump will push it over the hump and into your drain.

Without the drain hose being on there and up above the water level the water will run right back out as fast as it's going in so more than likely the washer will work if you put a drain hose on it

It was surprising how much stuff you picked up and how much of it did not translate into scrap. But pretty cool things you found. The washer likely needs the discharge hose to contain the water, and the pump kicks on to empty the drum, but removing the drain hose allows the water to drain without the pump. Good video Paul.

Great video! That brown, (bar stool?) type chair, (not the black desk chair) is worth good money. It is retro, and you'll notice it has an all metal bottom, unlike the black desk chair which has plastic, and metal.
It was likely made in the 70's. I recently sold a red (seat was red), retro desk chair with an all metal bottom, for $250 from the early 70's.
The washer just needs a drain hose to stop that water from pouring out I believe paul was glad to see you remember the cord on the dryer thanks for another good video

@@marywardach3856 You know you watch these videos and other channels too & get real attached to the creators in this case Paul a sweet man which is great and also its regulars in the videos . All the people to some degree add to the mix sort of speak & make the channel somewhat successful and nice to view. Then one part of the channels recurring personal is suddenly gone and no real explanation. I think it would be weird not to wonder what happened to Michael in all honesty. I have seen this on other channels too no explanation just a casual and vague reason for them leaving if that. Maybe out of respect for the individual it has been secret who knows. All I can say is that nothing stays the same and lasts for ever....so enjoy the moments in our lives.....Frank

Good Afternoon Paul. Just wanted to mention I was surprised to see the same exact drawer cart in your truck that I have. It was the second thing you threw off at the scrap yard. I now know why they threw it away. I just bought one and I am sending it back. It is the most expensive piece of crap I ever bought from Amazon, $52.00. Yes you read that right, even the plastic drawers were cheaply made.

All you need is add waste water pipe that's what enables the tub to be able to fill up and then empty when the machine wants to empty it. I hope you didn't dump it because it certainly is usable at this point.
Put a drain hose on it and it will be fixed LOL. Keep the end of it up higher than the water level in the washer.

Make sure the agitator dogs are working properly too, if they aren't it's a really cheap and easy fix

I would check the dryer too.. it'll bring more for a used dryer than for metal. They usually get rid of one if the mate isn't working and get a new matching pair.
There's no way for me to test a dryer. Unless I drag it downstairs and unhook my dryer.

I used to get a spare key cut for my truck, sure the actual key was chipped for starting purposes but the cheapo blank at Walmart would still unlock the door. Kept mine in my wallet

If you've ever wondered why the wood in the middle of your floor is rough knotty pine while the edges are nice hardwood, it was to save money on the flooring. There would have been a rug on the floor just larger than the pine center, left there all the time except for spring when it would be removed to be cleaned. Since nobody ever saw the wood under the rug there was no need to spend the extra money on fancy wood for the middle of the floor.

It got up to 81 here in Deep East Texas today. WHEW!
all you need is the drain hose. it will fill when you get the drain hose higher to level it out. so dont get rid of it yet. have seen so many of those drain hoses around. God Bless and stay healthy

I know all about that rebar in the scrap yard. I hit a piece of rebar sticking out of a hole in the concrete it cut the top of the side wall I had to unload quick and go to the maintenance shop in the yard and put air in the tire and four plugs and then go get my ticket and money. Luckily there was a used tire shop around the corner where I got two good tires put on the front of my truck and there went most of the money I just got. I can tell you that I never hit that rebar again I know right where that hole is and I stay away from it. Love your videos.

hey Paul, as a few have said, you just need to attach a drain hose and have it higher than the washer tub so it doesn't syphon the water back out. Try that before getting rid of the washer for scrap... love your vids...

Mainframes, binary... how OLD were those books??? Someone will want those as collectors' items.(LOL) The Japanese swords: there were supposed to be two longswords and a shortsword. As there were. May well be blunt wall-hangers, made without an edge, but even so they weren't cheap.
Good scrap day..those swords are a real find.. too bad about the washer but I'm sure you will find one in due course.

My son loves them
A drain hose so the level switch will shut off the water when full. That is true for ALL washers. One of those battery repair pulse chargers will rejuvenate that battery and turn it from $8-10 scrap into a $30 usable car battery. Those "T" posts are $5 ea new and $2.50 used easily. Except for me, since I do have a garden, I would keep them and use them with chicken wire to keep rabbits out of the garden.
