Really good video, I was thinking about getting a Jeep and even though we don't have anything like this on the east coast just watching what they are capable of has convinced me. And also the HD video quality is amazing for a Flip Mini. May get one of those too.
Sick vid man. The music fits in nicely. I was just in Maui and rented a Rubi. Not built up or anything but damn, it was fun to drive off road nonetheless. I will need to drive my Taco out to Moab one of these days.
I guess the next 15 mins of us resetting the bead and filling it back up with air was a figment of my imagination then, Thanks for clarifying that bud!
Thanks for correcting me on my own cars tire size. They are 35's. Tires don't look very big on new wranglers because of their large wheel well openings.
@7PinkFloyd7 JK is just the new call letters for the 2007-current year Jeep Wrangler. Just like the TJ YJ and CJ. They all are for a different year range. I don't know why but Chrysler decided to put the J first for these models. The changing of the Letters also marks a major change to the body style and such.
It called techno and it's good. If you don't like it, mute the audio and play something off your iTunes. Plus its some of the only music RUclips doesnt block.
They do quite well in good light and stable conditions. I had mine dash mounted and it did okay, but going down the steps at Black Bear the bouncing and jostling made the video a little choppy as the camera doesn't have image stabilization.
Blowing a bead doesn't literally mean the bead/ bead lock pops off. The term bead refers to the seal where the tire meets the rim. The seal is created by pressure. When that seal is broken all or most of the air escapes from inside the tire and causes it to go flat. That is a blown bead. While most buggies do have bead locks on their rims this buggy did not have bead locks or else the bead would not have blown...
@7PinkFloyd7 A 2 door is just as capable as a 4 door. I know people who own a2 doors that run with the 4 doors. There's always a situation where the longer wheel base helps out but there are times when it can hurt too.
@msneyd x2, unfortunately you can't fix stupid. Personally I have a TJ but have taken a liking to the JKs. Am waiting for Fiat to throw diesel version in the states though, as I'm not a fan of the V6. Beauty of the JK is the ability to handle larger tires with less lift, something I have to do a bit more work to do on my TJ. Have the 4" Currie system with the antirock and 35 MT/Rs. Metalcloak fenders up front and full corners in the rear. An excess of room for the tires lol
Dude, you and me went to highschool. ha ha even played on the golf team together! You need to shoot a message to me, you should come jeepin with me and procter. p.s. that JK is sick
you didn't blow the bead the side's would have caved and if there stuff it would bend when it hit the rock plus many rock crawlers have bead locks to prevent that
hansensm1, you obviously dont know much about your Jeep or JK's in general. 3" lift will easily clear 35" tires. JK's have a high line style hood that gives them a ton of room for tires.
Camera man needs a tripod, and an upgrade from that low quality cell phone "HD" camera. And all a yall need to learn how to drive. Talk about making things harder than they have to be. Do yall stay up nights thinking of the hardest way to do things, or does it just come to you naturally?
You obviously dont know much about your own car then. Do a bit of research. Teraflex says right on their site you can run 35's with only 2.5 in of lift and wheel spacers. They are 35's. Nice try.
great vid, love the moab!!!!!
Nice job on Pritchett, that's a hairy place...
thanks. didn't know the Flip could produce such good quality video.
That's a sick video too Brock. Can't wait to get back down there.

Cool vid!
Yellow hill is after rockpile. Axle hill is the one right before rockpile

@abock33 ok thanx. yeah thats what i was thinking is that both have benefits. longer wheelbase might highcenter easier too sometimes
Good video...loved the first song. Whats the name of it? Just got back from Moab and loved it.
Awesome jeep

BTW... that song is awesome. anyone know the artist?
Good point, I know I would probably mess the names up, thanks
i see it now but why didn't the bead lock pop off the tire it has a bead lock right? if not how did it stay on
@hansensm1 My dad has a JK and a 2.5 inch lift. It has 35 inch tires no problems at all.
i know how a bead works im fixing a tire now for my lawn tractor and when the bead blows on them that side will come off
you didn't blow the bead the side's would have caved and if there stuff it would bend when it hit the rock plus many rock crawlers have bead locks to prevent that
Very nice vid. What camera did you use? And what's the song at the very beginning?
What´s The Name Of This Music?
do you think a 2 door jeep coulda done that even though it is shorter in length?
