- Correct Settings for Printing Photos with the Driver
It his 2nd video of this series I will take you through the steps of setting up the driver on a canon printer to be able to print with an ICM / ICC profile even through we are officially using the just the driver.
You will perform the printer's so called Certification which will tell you whether the printer by it self can print the Standard Evaluation image correctly. Once you succeed at that you will also succeed at printing your own Images.
OF COURSE THIS IS ALL ASSUMING YOUR MONITOR IS CORRECTLY CALIBRATED TO THE CORRECT LUMINANCE AND TO D65 WHITE POINT OR COLOR TEMPERATURE.

Jose, what is the difference between these two choices for Color Management under the "Matching" tab: ICM and Driver Matching. I know you said select ICM. Why ICM and not Driver Matching? Thanks, very helpful video!
There are different models of of the Canon Pixma Pro 100. Which do you use or recommend?
There are? If you mean the CANON PRO-100s it is the same. Just being sold in Europe.
I don't have Facebook. Is there any way to get that color checker?

Can you recommend a calibration tool/system for entire work flow, capture to print (printer canon pro 1000).
Are you planning to calibrate your monitor and create your own ICC profiles? If so then the least you should consider is an X-Rite i1studio. If you need workflow info it's all over this channel. PRO1000 - Basic Printing and Color Management Playlists is where I would look. Good luck.
Thank you.
Do I need to download something from the canon website for the pro 1000? I followed your video a few days ago in setting up the IPF pro 1000. Did the color calibration, but I can not get to anything resembling this driver option. Watched a vid yesterday from another RUclips person that uses a Mac (which is what I use) and was printing from photoshop and opened this same printing preferences option. I have no option to open printing preferences at this point, but I’ve not downloaded anything after the initial setup. I’m starting to get the feeling that there is something I need to download. Advice please Jose?
