  • In this series, I go over one way a student or researcher can take the results from statistical program output and into APA Style (7th Ed)!
To get us started, we perform a simple correlation matrix in Jamovi (jamovi.org) with some Big 5 trait data.
In these videos, I'll go through conventions related to language, grammar, and writing those pesky stats in ways that all readers, if in the know, can decipher and understand your empirical results!
In each of these videos, I'll be using data found for free through Jamovi and I'll be writing my sample paragraphs in Microsoft Word in MacOS. Your set-up may differ slightly, but the end result can be the same!

Helped me with last minute feedback to do a correlation from my dissertation defense. Very easy to understand. Love the detail and explanations. Thank you. Hopefully, I will never need it again. Alas, I could have used or found your tutorials over the past year of SPSS stress as I am bio statistically challenged. So if I can suggest more needed on what the correlations actually mean in interpretation in addition to positive and negative.

this was very educative, I would like to see how you report the predictions hypothesis, and linear regression.

I have a video on linear regression!

Awesome. Just what I needed for my first summative analysis. Would love to see the t-tests, ANOVA's, and regressions. Regressions are a bit confusing- I thought they were to do with correlations? I have trouble with Jamovi, and my tutor doesn't explain things well. They're more concerned with their own research to help. i have trouble assigning the levels of measurement and then putting it onto Jamovi. For example, we are looking at correlations between 3 variables on social interaction. How do I put these variables in as IV, to show their effect on the social interaction (DV)? Thanks for your continued help for free education. You are not as recognised as you should be. You truly are a massive help. If you are available for private tutoring, please let me know as I am really struggling with statistics !

Thanks for the note! When I get some more free time in the next month, those APA results sections will be made and uploaded!
For your immediate issue, I’d have to see how you’re setting up the data to accurately assess. Catch me on Twitter or Discord and include some screenshots

@@AlexanderSwan thank you for the reply, professor. I appreciate your time to reply. I haven't used Discord, or Twitter before but will set an account up and follow you. I'll be about during the week, as I am out of town. Being UK based, there is also time discrepancies. What time, UK wise , do you stream? Thank you so much, again.

@@connor-jamesnewton2176 I don't stream anymore these days, so just send me a message on either platform and we can connect that way.
