US based traders should switch. Non US citizens don’t have to
I haven't heard of anyone switching to futures because they want to, but only because they're forced to... this tells you which one is the solution people prefer (it's not futures).
Only reason why anyone would perfer forex is for over trading futures is much much better price action has way bigger moves and is much more clean

nobody is switching to futures. Its just online and on twitter. nothing else. People I know personally are still trading forex and will continue to do it. There is no need to just follow the masses. Forex will always stay no matter what
people are switching over to futures propfirms , those who can fund their regulated forex account will but for funding purposes

If you are a trader outside of the US then there is no need to switch to futures.
Centralized price feed is a win for traders, atleast you get to avoid firm manufactured slippage issues.

That is for me one of the main reasons why I switched to futures. We are not allowed to be profitable with Forex Brokers.

Funny how ICT said the idea behind him teaching everyone futures in the 2022 and 2023 models and stopped trading FX was because he foresees major currency disruptions in the future and that had nothing to do with the props firms but still interesting to see that come to fruition through prop firms. Mentor got his community prepped for everything we need for futures ❤

The futures markets are better regulated smaller spreads but futures are only tradable in the NY sessions because of low volume forex is still the biggest market mover
I switched to futures because of all the chaos, there still are firms as a US trader I could trade with (and residing in Mexico probably even more available) but the uncertainty is just too high right now. I'm still learning futures but it's an easier transition than I thought. The transparency and tight stops I like more but the tools and platforms are a nightmare. I think a non-futures propfirm or maybe a group need to come together and make a platform, get the rules straightened out and it will be a huge win. But right now, it's chaos.

Been doing Futures for 6 months and it's a better trading experience. The only issue with futures is that the prop firms are structured differently. FX props have better rules
What makes the experience better for you?
Once you know how to trade Forex technically with price action, best believe that you will be able to trade anything
I luv NQ futures I started trading it never look back but i still trade in the forex AUS-USD NZD-USD these move together risk on market assets....trading crypto and futures gave me a deeper understanding of the forex market the more information you have as a speculator is always better

futures is regulated but why you promote it with future propfirms which are definitely not regulated. yes its likely they cant do damage when it comes to spreads but still they can deny payouts for some bullshit reason.
Tbh the trading trend in general is lasting a lot longer than I thought it would. After Covid stopped and the world began to return to normal, I expected a bigger drop off from people. Looks like people got hooked 😂

Who is switching to futures? I'm in Australia, its a pain in the ass trading futures from here or anywhere really in South East Asia unless your trading the Hang Seng, Nikkei or maybe Dax, but, why would any retail trader bother when these assets are available as CFD's without the data costs, trading platform costs etc. Pretty sure Mrs Wanatabe is doing just fine.

well unless you're from the US, I don't think you should be switching to futures propfirms, the deal you get just sucks compared to that of CFDs, don't let people bullshit you into thinking that it's different, Futures trading dowjones index for example is the same as trading it as US30 in the CFDs version, the difference is that on futures props u have to pay a monthly fee and have 3% overall TRAILING..damn trailing drawdown which is crazy to pay for!
I don't know why people don't see this. It's almost impossible to swing trade futures and people are also happy paying high monthly fees???

Is the price action really that different people? i mean tradingview allowed me to compare nas100 and the futures version, they weren’t significantly different in movement. Used D,H4,m15 and m5 frames.

CFD conditions are not better. The spread which is fictitious and doesn’t need to be there stuffs up your earning potential. Slippage, also doesn’t need to be there, messes with you.
Futures you don’t have that issue.

and remember that with futures you have to pay a monthly fee as well

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME? Something I don’t understand is that if prop firms are giving us paper trading accounts, then what’s the issue with it in the US? I understand if it was real capital, but on a paper account, WTH?!! Seriously it’s just demo trading like what the problem?!! 😡
The issue is based upon how the US has a tougher outlook on retail trading to other countries . The US system is based upon more regulated trading conditions (where your trades must pass through an exchange). CFDs violate this as they do not pass through an exchange. Prop firms using paper trading accounts in the US technically isn't the same as CFD trading but it essentially has the same premise, where a trader is using an unregulated account to make money. Since there is real profit/loss (by purchase/payout) attributed to this 'paper' account it sort of emulates a CFD and that is where the issues arise. My understanding of it anyway.
@@dec1597I think its an issue of offering CFDs and higher leverage. bc forex trading is allowed here and that is also an OTC market just as CFDs are. but there's not high leverage with regulated brokers

@@johnstranger9886 yeah if u are from US it IS logical to go full on futures but like for other traders who lives OUTSIDE of the US like me i live in in dubai , it is not that mandatory or lets say , the best idea to do so , other bullet to point out is the centralized market in futures (CME ) , but the CFD's space rly cant be centralized cuz there us GBP, USD , AUD , CAD , JEN ,CHF all in there own form and shape
