- I lost over $1.7million in Live Funding Capital in the funded game, to top it off I also have $22k payout stuck. In specific 700k of my funding was lost due to some bad habits that creeped up in my trading, so in this video I transparently share how I lost these accounts and some key lessons I learnt.

the third should be your first. this obsession with propfirms has become a massive distraction. building your account with a reputable regulated account should be the goal. As long as this propfirms are not regulated, we are trading blind..

This was great video. I learnt that taking accountability for mistakes is the first step to reengineering yourself for success. Really respect Dan's transparency as this shows we can trust him to not lie to us and improve our mentality

I definitely went through the same with a funded account and a challenge account in phase 2. First trade was a losing trade, same as second and that's how my psychology went downhill and in a matter of days with bad trade management, Overtrading while trying to crawl out of drawdown, had me losing the accounts. I was feeling very frustrated and beating myself up for losing the accounts but I am trying to stay positive and move on. This has shown me we can't be perfect, when we make mistakes we pick ourselves up and start again. Thank you Dan for this, showing what most don't, God bless😊

Sorry you lost those accounts and payouts. But I agree with your sayings in the video, we are not perfect but we can only control what is in our ability when things goes bad. Just keep trading making decent small profits and youll have a nice salary to pay yourself. I think nothing is better than that on multiple 6 figure accounts. 😌

I saw your interview on Titans of Tomorrow and wanted to ask you ask very few trader influencers ever respond back when I ask this question. If trading a 50/50 strategy like throwing a coin the chances of ongoing sequences of the "heads" will decrease over time which is why the chances of throwing 10 heads in a row is far less likely than throwing 2 heads in a row. Yet the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th throws which could still result in heads are still an independent 50/50 chance. I struggle to understand this paradox. Is this something you are able to clarify?

But everything you flash in front of our eyes, private jet, cars and all, I don’t know if you are profitable, making money by trading or just showing off to get more followers and try to make money by the followers you have, not trading. This video is a smart tactic to look empathetic with losing traders, since there are more of those than the winners. Winners wouldn’t watch videos on youtube or follow you anyway. The crazy thing about the internet is that they'll be some dude who's never seen a funded account in his life telling you about all the mistakes you've made and about what a shit trader you are lol.. But I like your mentality, i'm the same way, don't take myself too seriously and that allows me to easily brush aside disappointments. When TFT went down I was funded 100K with them, I just went and bought 3 more challenges and I'm already 2-4% up in all of them, its part of the game, you can't expect to win without losing at times, that wouldn't be life.

Hi Dan can I ask you a question…why don’t you just put your money into a normal trading account and just trade and forget about all this crap challenges and prop deals..if you are successful and have edge why not trade real money in a real environment knowing you don’t have to worry about whether a prop firm is shafting you or will be here tomorrow or next month..just don’t understand why people are like drawn to prop firm challenges even when the evidence is crashing all around them
Great question and written out well, considering it was a genuine question ill answer properly.
I come from a 6 figure personal account i built up over 4 years, and then switched prop is a risk free model. End of the day the ROI on prop has been a bigger income than my personal account. Example i did 60k in 1 month in November 85k in 2 months this year.
However I do have a personal account, i have a investor account and building more funds - will make some content on it

Ok totally understand thanks for answering and yes I can now understand the approach although you must feel it despite your positive outlook when big payouts are due and you no longer know if they are coming or not…my final take is the reason why people love seeing transparency about losses is because people want reality as most successful traders will show examples of big profit trades or periods of profitability but few will show their equity curve every month for a year so we can see the true reality and ebbs and flows..this is why Kyle Williams is such a godsend because when I see his daily results and I see his massive months I still see that he has clusters of days and even massive losing weeks of deep losses…it helps me to better appreciate the reality so that when my equity curve takes a deep dive it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong or I am mistaking mistakes…it’s perfectly normal for spikes in equity curve growth even when doing everything right
