All the times I've seen you reinvent yourself, I think this might be the most interesting? Exciting? Whatever it is, I'm hooked and can't wait for the next video. BTW, it's good to see you so excited and purpose driven again
Great pick up with the leggos but the highlight of the vid for me was the mail! Great to see on the channel again. I'm had to hear you found a new place. Can't wait to see the store! 🙌✨️
My friend finds every lost Lego at the bins. None left behind. Some people look at every thing. My Goodwill, takes an awful lot of stuff from our bins so only a few people get what the really want. They have employees going around the store looking for stuff they missed. Huge dip in finds recently because people are buying what I used to get just to come home with anything. But, I still come home with fun things.
Haha, same! I always dig through every bin and then at the end of every rotation, i go back to the bin that had the most lego and pick them all out. I've still found two completely sealed boxes of lego this month at the bins, so it's really hard for me to say my shopping experience has been heavily effected by the online shopping, but i can def see it getting worse as they get better at it.
My experience has just been with the normal run of the mill Goodwill stores. Before the bins and the online I found a lot more. And I think moat people complaining are having those experiences at the regular stores. I think I'd do fine with bins and the online with local pick up. But the bins stores are typically too far away from me to drive to without having a planned trip and taking vac time from work. As far as I know, there are no online local pick up stores close to me either. I have occasionally scored stuff bidding online like another ebay store. That's how I got the working Atari 800 computer I have. But that's sort of hit or miss like ebay now. It's discouraging at times. But I keep looking and hunting. I'm mostly buying for my collections anyway.
I’ve gotten many things from the Indy GW online store. It does take away from the retail store and bins. But we need to remember that GW is a business. And even though they are a none profit, they still need the money for their programs. I do think they need to cut upper upper management salaries. But we all know that is not gonna happen. You can also filter to a particular online store. So, to save shipping, shop from an outlet store you can pick up from. So, excited for you kiddo!! Jasper not far from me in Greenwood IN. May need to make a trip when you’re open.
I'm one of those that does not like goodwill online. Because I look for video games and related items and now anything worth while gets ship to online auctions. The prices people buy this stuff online is so crazy expensive. Even worse than ebay prices sometimes. But I still try in the hopes that they will slip up?
I can get decent deals from time to time! Like a $60 four foot ninja turtle shipped. The toy box! I wish the did better on shipping cost way over priced with incorrect weight and dimensions
Goodwill in California is terrible, in Phoenix we always found Barbie's and monster high and great stuff, we are resellers and collectors and it is very disappointing for us.
they by me at the one goodwill have people versed in the back that take anything of descent value and put it online. So nearly all gaming stuff system wise goes online now, I havent seen a system in a lone while. I got lucky and got a bag of games with pokemon red and zelda gbc like 1.5 years ago and i was so nervous thinking at the register they were going to not sell it to me or change the price on me..cause theres weirdos in there that make a big deal about stuff you find like OMG this or that Now the other goodwill has been having some hits lately been going to that one more often finding stuff....the aforementioned one is only good for like a few t shirts and movies/blu rays, and even those they are starting to sell online in lots. so yeah just wait Ten-dawg itll eventually go to hell by you once they get their ducks in a row.
So many new things this past year or so...new women, new place, new place again. New business, different facial hair, new video set up and new body...lol. Lets Go!!
Shopgoodwill is such a tiny sliver of goodwill's business. If you're not finding stuff at goodwill, it's because there are a lot more people camped out at goodwill ready to scoop up anything as it is brought out.
depends on the area, some dont have as big of resources to sort through stuff to catch it to go online. By me like zero gaming systems get put on the shelf anymore or "ANY GOOD" games, and even then one time there was a ton of games on the shelf and the employee was freaking out like WHY ARE THEY PUTTING THESE ON THE SHELVES...well most of them were super scratched, water damaged, cracked cases AKA stuff they couldnt sell online...so obviously thats why they put them on the shelves for peeps to buy. Every game i bought except 1 that day needs resurfacing.
People just like to moan, be thankful theres places like goodwill in your country, here in the uk we have nothing, except over priced charity shops that are £££££
Felt like old times ,giant scissors and lots to see in the bins yeeeeeeesssss.🥹👍😀

The sound of finding those legos is very soothing 😂
Hahahahaahaha. I need to make a soundtrack of soothing bins sounds.

Goodwill online shopping is great for Lego! I have been buying 25-35 lbs for super cheap
Right!? I’ve been scheduling a Lego pickup every trip I take.
It’s hard to find video games around here. They take them out and have a game store in Charlotte
Bummer.

Though the cali bins were the first I ever experienced, I never found good stuff at them. Phoenix was the best. 🤘
