Are you able to use Wise as a form of payment in China? like Alipay/ WeChat pay..

Not in the same way, you can use the WISE debit card to pay for things in China, but you can't use the app to make contactless payments.

@@Monitodotcom My sender lives in Shanghai china, I am afraid that it will fail when he sends the money to my local bank using wise. There is a note saying "This feature is only available for foreign and non-mainland Chinese individuals who have worked or are currently working in China.

Are they mainland Chinese? It is possible to send money if you live in Shanghai but you cannot be mainland Chinese. I would recommend sending this guide to them wise.com/help/articles/2955298/guide-to-cny-transfers

If your buying a product from China and it’s a business, wise do not offer to send in Chinese currency! You can only send Chinese yuan to an individual but not for purchases. If that persons limit “receiving credit” is over, it wont go through. Social credit score system is not a fantasy!
