I never knew who Shane looked like, turns out, now that I’ve seen him with eyeliner… he looks like Klaus Hargreeves
Has anyone else sat down and tried to create an entire backstory for the Professor and the Genie?
My take: The Professor discovered the Genie and were good friends existing out of time in another pocket universe. The Professor learned of a 'box' that the Genie cant open and also learns that he was created by the Genie for a world ending or domination plot. Both have time traveling powers but can't tell who is where.
The professor escaped and hid this box somewhere in time and has been avoiding the Genie, altering events in history to disrupt the Genie's plan. Eventually in present day, the Professor teaches students online because he's found a genuine love for history and what he's experienced, leaving hints of the Genie since he'll one day find him.
The Professor doesn't have a family so jokes that he does in the form of Beast for X-Men and others. Him saying he doesn't know if he has a family is hom actually wondering if he's the last of the Genie's man-made race.
And that's all I've got so far...
That's the best backstory I've ever heard!
I was thinking of one that was a lot less cool where the professor had a lover (maybe one of the people he talks about in an episode?) and possibly children at some point in time and when the genie caught him, he had to time travel away to escape and can't go back to the time where his family exists because the genie will be expecting him there. It's, as Ryan said, a repressed memory because it was so traumatizing to him.
@@LizzieRa17 Ooh I like that idea too! I just imagined that the Genie planted fake memories into the Professor to create a fake life for his literal and figurative puppet.
Wait didn't he tell that xman and cookie monster are his relative in one episode?

Idk why I thought that the horses’ corpse disappeared with it but the fact that the professor confirmed that it didn’t was a harrowing detail

Man, you're quick. Today's (I live in Australia, so we're more than half a day ahead) episode was so good. I actually learned about the Molasses flood in my chemical engineering degree because it was touted as one of the worst examples of process safety. Most of my important courses had questions about why the molasses flowed fast or slow and all that.
