You probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot the password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Tristen Rodney Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Washington wasn't perfect, but you have to respect his willingness to step down. There were no term limits, Washington could have been president till the day he died. Not many people in history just give up power.
Actually, this performance was at the end of a workshop held at the White House for local High School students. And the Obama administration had been Hamilton fans since Lin had debuted his early draft of the Opening Number from Hamilton at the White House Poetry Jam in 2009. Over the following years, Obama himself had seen the show at least once live, and Michelle had seen it more than once. And the Obama's gave a moving introduction for the Musical via video at the 2016 Tony Awards. And Pres Obama had been a part of the Hamilton PBS special. So this audience was pretty well versed in Hamilton. I think they were all struggling/finding their own peace with saying goodbye at this moment.
The reason they were so subdued is because they were sad, and scared. Obama is trying to enjoy this but everyone else is really sad about Obama leaving.
I remember watching this for the first time in January 2017, right before the new administration entered office. It was very emotional and poignant. I think the muted reaction from the audience was just the sinking in that we were going from Obama to Trump. History has its eyes on our first black president who is now retiring to make way for the unknown and for many, troubling idea of a Trump presidency.
And since Trump resisted “saying goodbye”, insisting he wouldn’t leave the White House, inciting an insurrection, hurting the legacy of peaceful transition of power, this song resonated in my head... knowing that for the first time ever, a sitting president couldn’t respect what the others before him always have. The day of the insurrection, I watched with tears in my eyes, thinking about how the founding fathers would feel if they could foresee such a tragic event, brought on because an incumbent couldn’t accept the results of the election. It goes against everything we pride ourselves on in this democracy.
The original version of this song was called 'One Last Ride', and included a part where they go to Western Pennsylvania to deal with the Whisky Rebellion.
I think you’re really misreading the audience reaction. The staff look like they’re trying desperately to keep a lid on it, because the emotion is palpable to me.
I think a lot of the focus on watching Obama was because we were so close to having to say goodbye to him when a lot of us didn't want to, knowing what was coming after. I know it definitely moved me more than I can say, looking at Obama while listening to the words of the song.
Also, this was a video released by the Obama White House from a White House event... The videos released that day were as much about the event itself as the performances. So it's not surprising that they would turn the camera to the Pres quite a bit.
I feel like this song is trying to contrast Washington’s humility with Hamilton’s ambitions. It’s even a slight nod to the fact that real Hamilton wanted government officials to serve for life.
Great video! My favorite song from the show and have been waiting for this one for a while and it payed off! Also the fact that you watched and listened to a live version rather the recorded version was such a special touch!
Did you notice that Ron Chernow, the author of Alexander Hamilton, is sitting closest to the camera, to President Obama’s right? The white-haired gentleman facing more towards Lin and Chris than the camera. Of course, that’s the book Lin based this musical on.
Love your historical perspective, great videos. You can find all the live Broadway performances “with embedded lyrics” on RUclips which a lot of reactors use. Would love to get your views on many of the songs you haven’t gotten to yet. Thanks and cheers!
I have a song suggestion/ artist suggestion!! Look up Ziksua. Their art is amazing. And their First Burn and Congratulations animatics are just chef kiss!! Have a great day
I think Michelle and Joe look like they're barely holding it together. And the one young girl with the glasses on the far right? Pretty sure she has tears running down her face.
Why are you watching a reaction video if you don’t want… their reaction? He’s adding genuine value to the video by spreading his knowledge. This is what reaction content SHOULD be.
Every one shall sit under their own vine and fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the LORD Almighty has spoken Micah 4:1,4 Also that room was full of kids specially invited to have Hamilton show for free. Thank you for your reactions.
Oh god no. Trickle down economics, Iran-Contra, a "War on Drugs" that was a failure from the beginning, helping the Religious Reich gain more power...the list goes on.

Ariana DeBose crying when singing “George Washington’s going home” gets me in the feels every single time.
Both girls, Ariana and Sasha were crying here! I can only imagine how was it to be there for them...

you can just feel the emotion from Christopher Jackson when he sings :D

Exactly how it felt, yeah.

There is a version of this where Obama reads Washington's speach
There is?!
@@tassymccormick One Last Time (44 Remix). It was a Hamildrop.
Most of the people in that room were thinking about Obama leaving and not George Washington.
I just noticed. 17:09 the viola (cello? hard to tell) and violin are playing "Raise A Glass to Freedom"
Obama ended up doing a duet of this song with Chris which is absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend you check it out.
A lot of people must have cried when they saw this live :'(
There were people at the end who looked like they were crying looking at Obama as Jackson sang his heart out.

"He probably would have lasted a little bit longer if he just put a coat on."
I don't know why I laughed so hard at that.
Obama is one of the few people in that room who can identify very personally to those lyrics. He is the only president in that room.
This comment aged poorly

Loved listening to your observations on the historical perspective. Thanks!
why do you say no one is enjoying it bc i clearly see everyone enjoying it

Watching this obviously after Trump etc always makes me emotional. X
George Washington would have lived longer if he wasn’t too much of a Chad, got it. 😂
iirc Ron Chernow is sitting in the front row with Obama, Biden, etc
The more a learn about Jefferson, the more I think he leaned a little more toward demagogue than either Washington or Lincoln would have ever dared???
You can sey you don't trow away your shot with life performance ...
America shutting down political diversity? I can't imagine.
If only he could have watched it without stopping to comment literally every minute.
It’s a react video, if you want to listen to just the song by yourself, then just do that

Cool Xtreme shirt :)
Amazing
I believe in Chris Jackson supremacy
guitarknight14 has been doing animal crossing covers if you wanna give those a try. not fully done yet though
Next time react to the world was wide enough
This comment will bump the number up to the number of presidents the USA has had so far :)
Biggest suggestion. Once you are done explaining things(which is amazing) let the song play all the way so we can sing along. #Hamiltonnerds

There of a reason Hip Hop rappers say they are a product of Reaganomics. When you grew up poor in the 80’s, Reaganomics was a huge killer to us.
