To add to your comment on looking at MDT in the middle of a run. There is an addon called MDT Guide that changes mdt to a smaller window and zooms in to the next pull you're supposed to do based on current mob count. I found it useful early on when I was switching to the tank role to know what to pull next. But now I just take a few minutes before a run to refresh my memory or tweak the route because they're largely the same every week.
Is there a way to see which mobs are affected by sanguine, bursting etc.? If not they should definitely consider adding that piece of information somewhere in the addon.
Tbh though, learning stuff like that is half the fun of M+... An addon to make that all easy for everyone to see takes away somr fun of being experienced imo.
ya a feature i would really love to be added , and it is really important , which mobs are affected by certain weekly affix , for example , which mob will bolster others and which will not , also which mob leaves sanguine on ground , and so on , this would be so lovely
I always thought if pulls could correspond with auto marking somehow. That could lower the barrier of entry to tanking. Pathing is intimidating to new tanks and you can't spend much time looking at the mdt map mid run
This is a really helpful mod even for relatively casual players. You can just load your most recent saved route and share it with your team so you all know what to expect -- much easier than describing the route with "words." Using this tool, it's much easier for our team to try out new strategies because we can easily verify and all see how the new strategy would work. If you do one or two M+ per week, I would suggest you try loading your existing strategies into this mod just to try it out.
It's the one addon you absolutely want to have as a tank. I refresh my memory before almost every run that I tank to make sure % will be around 100-102%. I expect to use it tons more when SL comes out, assuming it gets updated accordingly
The guy from Method guild who created it called "Noggie" went nuts. He pulled it out and now he charges money for it. Type Mythic Dungeon Tools and Noggie and you'll know.
i feel so bad that i watched this whole vid and still dont get this addon, had it since bfa because my group uses it, but i never understood it i understand the use, but i don’t get how to read it i’m too dumb for this 😅😅
Is it possible to set this addon as your minimap? I hate having to keep opening it to make sure I'm following the right path, it'd be way easier to just look at the top right
Is there a way to de-link certain mobs from packs in MDT? In a few Shadowlands dungeons there are mobs that dont actually aggro other mobs nearby like MDT suggests.
Hey Dratnos, idk if you can answer this tank question but is there a way to bait the crashing tide frontal in Hadal (3rd boss siege) when its time to hide for the waves? I find myself pointing it through the statue where everyone is stacking (not on the dead center tho) and some of my dps get hit, often killing runs.
You were talking about certain addons and weakauras having a dependence on the enemy forces listed in MDT. Does that mean that there are addons (or WAs) similar to Mythicplusprogress in Legion, listing the count a selected mob or the current pull gives? If yes, would someone mind sharing something like that?
@@RaptorTeak it isnt but, method doesnt excist anymore. And some of those players are a brand of their own with sponsorships. And in this cancel culture era, its better to distance your self from that name.
I wouldn't advice using Just Heal us as a resource, I double checked some of the information there with Warcraftlogs and they were just plain wrong. (e.g. Boss abilities scaled with fortified are not calculated right) Edit: Wouldn't advice entirely to avoid it, but take those numbers with a grain of salt and double check them with other resources.

So... I have to waste a ton of time setting up a route, then I have to spend even more memorizing it because the addon isn't actually useful in a run. LOL seems like an out of season April fools joke to me.
With that kind of mentality you're not gonna be able to tank anything upwards of +18 without having your hand held throughout or banging your head against the timer until eventually you stop failing.
Yeah I was really disappointed. Not much functionality if you're not actively coordinating with people you know for high keys. Was really hoping for something to just actively show routes and maybe pull size

Made this video about a week ago because of a tweet I saw but you did such a better job explaining things xD great vid man!

TYSM
The ending made me smile, ramble on my friend, ramble on.
There's one for free. Lol
MDT is also the best tool just for being able to read the tooltip of every single dungeon mob ability in game.
The live feature is amazing for planning out who's getting what bots at the start of yunkyard.

This. Absolutely this. Kinda new to tanking this expansion, and I hate having to double check what I'm supposed to pull several times a run.
@@pmikel63 that will go away with repetition. Unfortunately this add-on caters to the cutting edge player. But that would be neat still
just came to say, if you shift click a new group it auto creates a new pull for it and you dont have to create one

this tool will become your best friend, ive been tanking and using this addon since it came out :)

what does it look like ingame how do i see the route in game
If it wasn't for you and Nnoggie, I'd probably still be stuck on 9 keys. Thanks for for helping a filthy casual out. 😁
I was wondering if there would be a remake of this video after the name change lol... glad to learn about it though :D
I downloaded Mdt and when I slash met, I get to see nothing but a black blank window with mythic dungeon tools title... what do I do now?
Awesome video, would be a useful feature to highlight some snap spots on the maps by default
A free 'thanks'? U're the best Drat!
Where do I finde importable routs for this?
where can i find updated routes for shadowlands? pls
is possible to make MDT map show your current location and rotate like the minimap?
Cant share my routes, Can you help me please?
Is it a bug or smth ? does anyone know??
So how to remember the route if you cant have it open :(
SAVE IT WHERE? I DONT SEE A SAVE BUTTON!!!
Can you have this addon be on another screen?
This addon does not work anymore....anyone know of an alternative?

Control click rather than click to add mobs individually rather than by pack (which yeah isn't always accurate)
