I'm surprised any of the salmon made it over the waterfall, especially when the majority of their attempts failed to reach halfway up. It seem like they need to learn the lesson of jump high, but then swish-like-heck to swim up and over. It's wonderful you got to see such a "National Geographic" scene with your own eyes. 鱒の滝登りは皆見て感動してますが、10月の札幌市内を流れてる豊平川でも小さな段差の落ち込む流れ込みでも遡上が見られますよ🌄🏞️🌊🐟🌅
桜鱒が食べたければ、支笏湖のポロピナイのダイナーで、桜鱒とブラウントラウト丼やチップ(姫鱒の子＝紅鮭の陸封型)定食が食べれますよ😋✌️💕

Smoked salmon is my favourite thing in the world. Even prefer it to quality blue fin tuna most times
