  • Beans cake is common dish in African homes especially in west Africa Nigeria. I grew up with my grandma making akara every weekend was almost a routine for me. I haven’t cooked akara in more ten years. Living in South Korea the cravings was real, but I don’t have anywhere to go buy 🤣 I have to bring back my up bringing to life. You either soak your beans overnight or few minutes to start making it by first blending it half for easy take out of the shaft. Watch to your satisfaction and blend add salt, pepper and and onions stir together properly for proper mixing. Put your vegetable oil on heat and let it heat very well so the akara don’t soak oil. You will need to reduce the heat for proper cooking of the akara, keep flipping the akara and when it gets the brown look and properly dried you’re ready to eat.
