  • My overnight fastpacking kit list.
This is the kit I used on a my recent overnight trip in the Dartmoor National Park on the August bank holiday weekend 2020. It may not be the lightest in the world, but it will hopefully give you a guide as what to take.
Under 8 kgs base weight, including food and water.
Full breakdown of my kit list can be found here: lighterpack.co...
I used the 3F UL Lanshan 1 Pro tent. (3F UL Lanshan 1 Pro: s.click.aliexp...) It's a trekking pole tent; but I use straight aluminum pole sections from an old tent, instead of a heavier trekking poles.
My favourite budget friendly kit that I have purchased from Aliexpress
    Tent: 3f UL LANSHAN 1 PRO: s.click.aliexp...
    Mattress: www.aliexpress...
    Stove: BRS 3000-T s.click.aliexp...
Titanium Pot: Lixada 450ml (a small gas cartridge fits nicely inside) s.click.aliexp...
Long spoon: great for using with rehydrated meal packs: s.click.aliexp...

Yes it's a 20L pack, but extends slightly to 24L. Over time you will find better and better kit, and it doesn't always have to be more and more expensive, some of my best bits of kit are cheap alternatives.

Which sleeping pad was that? In the video you said Thermarest i think, but when i looked at the lighterpack it says it's a Lighttour. Is the Lighttour the one that has like a built in pillow? How comfortable is it for you?

It was an old 3/4 length thermarest sleeping pad (514g) in the video, but I have since changed it. I now use a cheap Light Tour pad (295g) from Aliexpress (www.aliexpress.com/item/4001223973136.html). It packs down really small, it's probably not the best quality but for spring, summer and autumn adventures I love it. At £25 / $30 it's an affordable option. Only used it about 10 nights but so far so good!

Great videos. Is the UD20 too small to carry a cooker plus food ? In your opinion would the extra weight of this make running uncomfortable?

Thanks. My UD20 was quite full, I didn't bother with a cooker as it would have been a very tight fit, I saved the extra weight and ate cold food only. A stove wouldn't have added much weight, but I would probably take one on a multi night trip.. I don't need coffee to wake me up in the morning. I prefer function over comfort.
