Skillmatic123 it's always someone making comments and stating alternative facts BEFORE watching the video. As if a valid point is being made 😂😂😂😂 talking about "she not tripping" well it ain't bcz of a PhD 😂😂😂
Netflix is killing the game when it comes to original movies. 'Roxanne, Roxanne' truly highlighted various underlining messages that need to be discussed from teenagers taking on adult responsibilities to older men preying on young girls. Phenomenal film and kudos to Netflix and Roxanne for this amazing film!
I saw Roxanne Roxanne yesterday, I was pissed when it was over! I definitely wanted to know more about her growing as a young adult with a child, when she started school [college], why she decided to get her degree. I'm so intrigued by her story!
Tee Cee Natural here read this. They exposed her years ago www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/hey_wait_a_minute/2009/09/roxannes_nonexistent_revenge.html
Nicky Krystals OMG I had no idea she lied! I remember years ago she did say she received her doctorate and she did acknowledge it. That's very disappointing because I really thought she received her doctorate. I wonder if I can find it online when she did say she's a doctor. 🤔
Tee Cee Natural me too. I was like really proud of her. Was like that's dope af. Hold up lemme find this interview where she's actually giving medical advice lmmfaoooooo she's pathological.
The fact that she could easily explain why they would always want to ensure there was no unity with female rappers, without giving some cliche answer.. makes it clear she's like OG. I actually learned something new.
I met Roxanne Shante and MC Shan at a concert at the Hyatt in Oakland Ca 1984, I was 9 years old. She was so dope, she made THE REAL ROXANNE from UTFO cry on stage it was crazy. She has an Iconic voice and dope rap style, she paved the way for female rappers. She still looks good, I am happy she is finally getting recognized with a movie that will last till the test of time.
Just finished watching the movie. The lead portraying her had her mannerisms and characteristics down to a T. Especially with Boo-Boo from _The Get Down_ as young Nas. That was just pivotal. Shante _definitely_ brought the female hip-hop scene all the way up in her time! Salute!!
I was so happy to see dude from The Get Down as the Nas cameo! The movie was super good and I hope it educates as many younger people just like it did me
Props to Shante'. She's a very intelligent sister. I'm so glad she has a level head and came on and dropped so many jewels about ego and maturity. I'm glad she put the movie out because I was getting mishandled by my mother and men the exact same way. The movie was theraputic for me. Much love and success to you Sis.
Roxanne Shante movie was the bomb it's a must watch movie. She's definitely a hip hop legend and I'm glad she receiving her flowers while she still living
Nyesha Brooks that movie was boring and wack. I'm happy that she benefited from having a movie about her bc I never knock a legal check but this was another Netflix boring movie
Given the budget, I think they did a great job. I lived during this era and a lot of what I saw in the movie had me reminiscing about the past. We lived for those rap battles. If they really wanted to make it powerful they could of gave us more of her battling.
Just finished watching the movie on Netflix. It was a great movie! very well written, and true to the era. Nia long killed her role, and so did Chante Adams.
slick1hit very true!!! But Nia long had me thinking I was watching Monique in precious again😅 she played that role too well with her bitter ass character.
She is so profoundly secure in her own craft and overwhelmingly knowledgeable about her impact, footprint on hip hop culture. So much respect for Roxanne Shante! The best who's ever done it! #certified #genuine
It's weird to me that white people shouldn't listen to black music. I grew up listening to what we now refer to as old school hip hop and rare groove and probably know more about it than the people making these comments. To me it is part of my culture, like it or not. Although there are racists in England, even they are not dumb enough to suggest that we shouldn't listen to each others music.
I still can't believe they made a movie about her. That shit hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn't expect it. Can't wait to watch it when i get home. I love Roxanne Shante. I remember her squeeky voice blasting outta cars in Brooklyn. As a music producer now, Watcging that movie with the kids is very important to me tonight. I even heard a young Nas is in it. My oldest son who worships Nas is gon flip. They don't even know its out. I'm not even gonna tell em anything. I'ma make em just watch it. They don't know who Roxanne Shante is, But they gon find out tonight.
This movie came out of nowhere and did the most for me. I was not talking to my son for almost a month before this day. I had lunch with a friend and he told me that life was too short to be petty with my family. All I wanted was a date with my son and through a meeting with my friend who encouraged me to rectify my relationships that were broken to keep them sustained, I was able to practice forgiveness, patience and love. My birthday is next week and all I care about is spending time with my son.
I wish the movie was longer, but after watching and learning some of her story and meeting her in person I definitely have a deeper respect for this Queen 👑 , the young lady also did a great job playing her , and Nia Long can do no wrong 😍😍😍😘
TheFactsAccordingToGabbie1791 No I'm saying everyone, both men and women not just female rappers. And female rappers definitely don't have it easy they always have to show skin to get noticed.
I'm so glad her story is being told by her! A legend and a boss back in a time when it was not even thought of for women. Better yet little black girls from the projects. Such an inspiration!
Yo, please don't get me wrong. I love the movie but I'm one of the ones who thinks the movie should've been longer. The touring, The Krs-One beef, more Cold Chillin, and I feel like more of that added would have made this movie even more dope. Been a fan when I first heard her music (and other albums) going through my brother's records and tapes in like 89-1990 when I was 7 years old. After those moments I been a fan of Hip Hop ever since lol. This interview is dope.
I felt the same way also however I think they really wanted to focus more on her personal side and less on the music. They probably had some budget limitations as well.
It would have been nice if they showed who exactly ripped her off of her money. Marley Marl camp is quiet. He claims he knows nothing but they had the same manager
Beautiful interview--so humble and much wisdom. And, indeed, the movie is beautifully told--all should celebrate Roxanne Shante by viewing the movie. Thanks for the interview.
Listening to her breakdown the progression of female hip hop artist, and the need to properly finesse a battle rap response is so beautifully articulated!
Queen Tajae Yeah there's so much they didn't touch on. Her battle with KRS-One, her Big Mama diss, the Cornell school lie, her work as a casa (court appointed special advocate)....a lot.
Queen Tajae or a book. I will like to know what happened with her years after. I believe she went to college and is a licensed psychologist. I could be wrong. I wish the movie would have added another 30 minutes or so
Watching this interview for me is like my grandmother made my favorite meal and I’m sitting there enjoying every morsel! The Era of Roxanne was the Best and I just am so proud of her accomplishments!
Dawnzalea Byers Exactly... I felt that the movie was incomplete at the end, she should of made it like the new edition movie from beginning to end. She didn't explain how she had made her lawyer type up an iron clad contract that help mold her future. New artists need to hear and learn about that.
Yes I wanted to see her group home experience that she always talks about. And the other children she had after her first child. Also how she met her husband. I need a part two!
The movie was so dope. I grew up listening to Roxanne Latifah and Lyte. Like I be 2 hype when I hear these ladies and what they talking about in their lyrics, it's raw. They had something to fight for. Today's music is hard to understand when you don't hear the struggle. 2018 and I still and will always play old school. Big fan Shani!!
I was too young to completely understand and enjoy Miss Shante music but my older sister did (plus she dated slick Rick briefly) and she put me on to her. I grew up in the lil Kim, Foxxy Brown, Eve, Amil and Da brat era.
smokey. mcwallace nah they ain't even touch on this lie! Shante has no credibility she's a pathological liar! Peep this bullshit ruclips.net/video/oTcBqaVoyAI/видео.html
Dope interview. I have even more respect and admiration for her now. The movie was also amazing. Chante Adams is such a sweetheart and I hope to see her a lot more.
This movie was dope AF! Very very VERY powerful!!! I literally balled my eyes out and not the regular cry, it was a huffing puffing and short of breathe cuz ur crying so hard cry. That’s how touching it is! Her story is very sad & powerful!!! Glad to see she over came it all
It’s rare that I get moved by movies but man I shed some tears for the stuff she went thru. I got a daughter and I wouldn’t want her to go thru that. But I’m very proud of Roxane shaunte for still making it thru all them storms. Great movie.
Just watched the movie!!!! It was EVERYTHING.. it shows you Nas’ Beginnings (Biz Markie, Marley Marl) you get to see the other Roxanne and all.. The whole Queens culture, how everything begins.. But most importantly you get to see Roxanne Shante killing all the battles and her over story.. So good and powerful 😩😩😩🖤
NOT ONLY IS THIS WOMAN HUMBLE, BUT SHE WAS AN AMAZING TALENT THAT DIDNT HAVE A CHANCE TO FLOURISH IN THE INDUSTRY.. THE 1ST FEMALE STORY TELLING RAPPER WHO BATTLED AND INFLUENCED NAS IS A MAJOR ACCOLADE RIGHT THERE...GO SHANTE! YOU ARE A TRAIL BLAZER AND PIONEER
This Fabulous interview brought me back to the days when you could only hear Hip Hop on one station on Friday night in a three hour window. Back then you had your new TDK or used Memorex cassettes ready. Fun days back in Jersey when everything was everything.
Yesterday, Erica Alexander and today Roxanne Shante? Two days in a row The Breakfast Club has had two phenomenal female interviews! I can't wait to see this movie!!!
Mansa Musa I have so many mixed emotions about the screen play and production but her story is definitely worthy to be told! She went through A LOT! I need to know who her son's father is because he need a whole hammer to his head!!!!!! And I was disappointed that they didn't include KRS 1's beef rap against her and her response to that?????
Roxanne Roxanne wow this is a great interview. A legendary interview I must say. I love how Roxanne broke it down and kept it all the way real on how women contributed to hip hop and rap. Alot of people like to discredit women from the past but they all deserve their credit and respect. I also love her perspective on the misogyny of hip hop. There is alot power when women work together and the industry seems to love to orchestrate. plot and bait women against each other which is disgraceful. I do believe when women come together we tend to share knowledge, we nurture and care and uplift each other when we need a helping hand. I agree with Roxanne on that they don't want that which is sad.
Nijee Vaughn Exactly! My Italian Cutie explained this to me a year ago on why men do this..He said we remain in control by keeping yah separated and putting you against each other..
Peter Poot excuse me? I am a black woman speaking the truth: an educated at that. Proud of it. I am enjoying this interview and her perspective. You come up and disrespect me as woman minding my own business. Be careful who you call faggot you troll. That type of language will cause you to get your ass kicked by the gay community. Learn some respect.
I wish they would've talked about her 1992 song "Big Mama" where she went allll the way in on Latifah, Yoyo, Lyte , and the rest of the girls around that time. but yes, I do understand its all about being positive now.
Billy T Shante was like a female 50, she beefed with everyone. LL, Run DMC, KRS One, Salt n Pepa, Latifah, Yo Yo, Lyte. But Lyte, Yo Yo, Latifah and Salt n Pepa came back so hard at Shante.
Dope film. Everyone was great but someone give Nia Long some recognition for her performance. She killed it!!!!
Daryl Sams she absolutely did
Yes!!! She played the hell out of that roll. I was scared of her for Shante
Jupiter Moon Girl, me too! Brought back flashbacks lol. Nia dis her thang
Yaaas!
That death stare she was giving!!!
This woman is spiritually grounded. Her lack of anger and humble outlook is why these blessing keep happening.
John JohnRN86 amen
Glad to see her humble now. Back in the day, she was nasty asf dissing females.
That was an act lol
A.B. Cee It was a part of the job. Female rappers needed to hype up attention.
Yeah dread I love her n biz markie on 98.7 KISS with Kool dj red Alert
This young lady only had only 8 days to prepare for the role of Roxanne Shante' and owned it 100%.
Godamn only 8?! Shiit!
She’s very posed, confident and lacks anger ... that’s real spirituality manifested
KnwName she a phd and a doctor she not tripping
#WaterSigns
Nikki Nicole She literally said she doesn't have a PhD. I'm guessing you didn't watch the full interview.
Skillmatic123 it's always someone making comments and stating alternative facts BEFORE watching the video. As if a valid point is being made 😂😂😂😂 talking about "she not tripping" well it ain't bcz of a PhD 😂😂😂

Santana Gonsalves I was shocked when she stated cussing.
Well then you’re not a fan. Smh
D_money exactly...Nia is an excellent actress and has always been.
how...? Shante, I understand. but you didn’t know that Nia Long could act as well as she can...?
Nia has always been an amazing mind blowing actress love me some nia long
Nia Long and Chante did Great jobs in this Film. Go watch!
Jibril Builder yes I'm glad to Nia played a different role.. She was awesome
I saw Roxanne Roxanne yesterday, I was pissed when it was over! I definitely wanted to know more about her growing as a young adult with a child, when she started school [college], why she decided to get her degree. I'm so intrigued by her story!
Tee Cee Natural she was exposed as a fraud for that degree thing. She's a pathological liar!
Tee Cee Natural here read this. They exposed her years ago www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/hey_wait_a_minute/2009/09/roxannes_nonexistent_revenge.html

The fact that she could easily explain why they would always want to ensure there was no unity with female rappers, without giving some cliche answer.. makes it clear she's like OG. I actually learned something new.
Abigail Jones I like how she so straight up whenever she expresses herself
Roxanne Shante is just too jealous
I love Cats ... stfu you seem like the one that’s jealous
THE CHAMP IS HERE!!! I love the movie. It was amazing. I also loved this interview and seeing her.
Kay Jewels hey kay. Where are you from?
Kay Jewels Yes
old heads lmao
I loveeee her humility and how she’s embracing other women in the game!
Patrisha Luxe you’re attractive
Yessir
Ronald Bell, Jr thank you
it took her a lloooon time to get to that point. she was known to diss all female rappers. remember this jam?ruclips.net/video/OOLynxq4k9w/видео.html
Patrisha Luxe agreed
I wish they would've asked her about NAS
mzhotniz86 i was waiting for that
Yeah, I was waiting for that. Thought it was going to happen
But I'm guessing, these fools didnt watch the movie b4 doing this interview. Asking a bunch of stupid questions
It’s on sway
*sway’s universe
It’s crazy that she ran into Shante for this role and they look like mother and daughter.
like what are the chances ?!?!?!
God’s Plan
Legend in the building and the movie was so dope to me.
Afric Network yes🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Yes legend for sure! I actually just watched the movie last night! They did a really good job on it.
#RoxanneRoxanne #RoxanneRevenge
The only thing that disappointed me was it wasn't longer. I could've watched more
Yes, I agree! May do a vlog about it.
Afric Network yes!! I loved the movie they did a great job
They look like mother & daughter!😍
Anna Maye ikr, the casting was on point, Nia Long, too.
Ikr

I was so happy to see dude from The Get Down as the Nas cameo! The movie was super good and I hope it educates as many younger people just like it did me
I agree!
David Richardson real spit!
Shingie Chagiya I agree. I always said Boo-Boo should play Nas in a biopic in some way. Now this should get the ball rolling for Nas' biopic now.
David Richardson he does resemble Nas a lot, the mannerisms and awkwardness were on point
yall that ponytail is LAID love black ppl
Brittney O'Neal I was thinking the same thing
Lol facts
I smiled through this whole interview. I'm glad the OG is able to share her story!!
GulleyBoy the movie was good too
I'm surprised you aint covered her in your diss tracks you never heard lists
GulleyBoy #word
GulleyBoy Yesssssss before there was a Queen Lah and an MC Lyte
GulleyBoy I smiled through too!!! 😁
The fact that even the lead actress is named Chante just goes to show that this was in the cards
That's so spooky but cool. Chante looks like Roxanne's daughter.
The Movie was perfectly made and the girl playing Roxanne did a good job.
Now #Netflix we need a #Nas Biopic
Jay75Euro yes
PLEASE! YES!!!! NAS is like … imagine that.. that Biopic would Rule the World.. 🔥
LOVED THE NETFLIX SPECIAL!
I WISH THEY COULD'VE DONE THE TUPAC MOVIE LIKE THAT... SHANTE' IS DEFINITELY A LIVING LEGEND
J. Lamar Bro i was saying the same thing That Tupac movie was all done wrong it just alright most of the stuff i Tupac’s movie i already knew
ken mckee Her movie was that Good. By the end of the movie, it made me think about how poorly directed 2pac's biopic was.
Right!!! PAC deserves it!
I got to watch the Tupac movie. Is it on Netflix? I agree they did a great job on Roxanne's movie.
Taylor, Faye Nah, they still want you to pay for it😒
This actress did a great job. Totally believed she was the character. Nia Long also did a great job too.
omg , yes ! I had never heard of Roxanne Shante , but the way this actress brought her to life , I felt like I did & wanted to know more about her
Roxanne Shante is a real Queen. She speaks so eloquently, and is very wise. She's a great leader. She reminds me a lot of Sister Souljah,
That's because she is a Doctor
Props to Shante'. She's a very intelligent sister. I'm so glad she has a level head and came on and dropped so many jewels about ego and maturity. I'm glad she put the movie out because I was getting mishandled by my mother and men the exact same way. The movie was theraputic for me. Much love and success to you Sis.
Roxanne Shante movie was the bomb it's a must watch movie. She's definitely a hip hop legend and I'm glad she receiving her flowers while she still living
Nyesha Brooks that movie was boring and wack. I'm happy that she benefited from having a movie about her bc I never knock a legal check but this was another Netflix boring movie
james Barber did they touch on why she lied about getting a doctors degree?
Nicky Krystals nope, now I felt like the ended should've and could've been better. It's like they stuck the storyline in her teens era.
+TheFactsAccordingToGabbie1791 so she can make twice as much p releasing the follow up movie....
Given the budget, I think they did a great job. I lived during this era and a lot of what I saw in the movie had me reminiscing about the past. We lived for those rap battles. If they really wanted to make it powerful they could of gave us more of her battling.
It was amazing!!! But I hated the way it ended...like I want more!!!! So good.
CJ Raiford Same here. I watched it with my cousin. When it ended we were like is that it? It's over?
Yes it’s like they ran out of money or something and just stopped. The ending was terrible but overall a good story.
Nia Long needs an oscar for her role.
Nia did her thing! Never saw her play a role like that before.
Of course she does.....
Nia was phenomenal.
Shit she played the role so good I thought I was her child damn lol she didn't play
YES, Nia did that!
Just finished watching the movie on Netflix. It was a great movie! very well written, and true to the era. Nia long killed her role, and so did Chante Adams.
Yea I watched it last night, damn good movie
Yesss

I just got done watching her movie on Netflix. She did a great job with it! It really tells a story. I love it!
Li Taylor; Li's Life I watched the movie first then I had to see interview.
Roxanne is DOPE. So humble and just all around good people yo. I'm mad she doesn't get enough recognition
I remember her as a tiny little girl. I always thought she was so strong, so brave. Still the same to this day
As a 14 year old white male, growing up in England at the time of the Roxanne phenomenon, I am so pleased to see that she finally made it.
Peter Poot You obviously live in a very small world. White people can't have black heros? Shame on you.
Success is relative. Her birth was discussed and planned millions of years before so that she can be here exactly as she is.
Eclectic Jon 101 white people are so funny but yr time is up.
Eclectic Jon 101 you're white, here's a cookie. Foh
It's weird to me that white people shouldn't listen to black music. I grew up listening to what we now refer to as old school hip hop and rare groove and probably know more about it than the people making these comments. This woman speaks so eloquently and is unashamed of her story. Such an inspiration to all women from any walk of life.

That's love ❤
She’s so smart and intelligent. I get chills hearing her speak. So powerful

Mia J How long is the movie?
Leaundra Gates i want to say about a hour and few mins i didn't want it to end
Leaundra Gates. Hr 42min
I know right . maybe a part two or diff look will make it to the theatres
I wish the movie was longer, but after watching and learning some of her story and meeting her in person I definitely have a deeper respect for this Queen 👑 , the young lady also did a great job playing her , and Nia Long can do no wrong 😍😍😍😘
There's no way they ain't already scripted the second one, twice as much p. If they ain't got the funds, Netflix will sort that asap.
Chanté Adams hair looks soooo good😍😍
Back when MCs actually had to prove themselves. Miss that era
millienl me too!! Today's lil female rappers have it too easy/simple compare to them back then.
TheFactsAccordingToGabbie1791 No I'm saying everyone, both men and women not just female rappers. And female rappers definitely don't have it easy they always have to show skin to get noticed.
C-LAROCK THE MAYOR I remember if you said you was an MC, you automatically ended up in a Cypher 😂 You HAD to prove it!
millienl - Oh man I miss the days of the Cypher's. I loved them!
I'm so glad her story is being told by her! A legend and a boss back in a time when it was not even thought of for women. Better yet little black girls from the projects. Such an inspiration!
Slim Goody exactly! we need more of this so legends full stories can be told
Ayesha Go. U single?
Slim Goody you ugly
Absolutely
Nia long did an awesome job 👏🏿
I’m SO HAPPY AND EXCITED for Roxanne Chanté. She deserves ALL the accolades and success.
She gave the best answer I’ve ever heard anyone give to the what do you think about female beef question and there only being one at a time.
Very confident artist/woman - so glad she produced this movie so the world could hear and see her story!!!!
Great inspiration for hip hop
I love Roxanne Shante
Legendary

For her first movie (I think), Chanté Adams did a great job 👍🏾

Tara Phillips yeah I saw that too
Essence interview
Yo, please don't get me wrong. I love the movie but I'm one of the ones who thinks the movie should've been longer. The touring, The Krs-One beef, more Cold Chillin, and I feel like more of that added would have made this movie even more dope. I felt the same way also however I think they really wanted to focus more on her personal side and less on the music. They probably had some budget limitations as well.
Right that way I did street battle wrap.
Agree!!!
It would have been nice if they showed who exactly ripped her off of her money. Marley Marl camp is quiet. He claims he knows nothing but they had the same manager
Thanks Roxanne for speaking at my event! Great meeting you...ill never forget!!! Thanks Queen
Beautiful interview--so humble and much wisdom. And, indeed, the movie is beautifully told--all should celebrate Roxanne Shante by viewing the movie. Thanks for the interview.
I LOVE her spirit. So light and just joyous!

Listening to her breakdown the progression of female hip hop artist, and the need to properly finesse a battle rap response is so beautifully articulated!
Love her interview and the way she thinks about waiting for her time to be blessed!!! Very intelligent and humble!! A true Legend...
I liked the movie she needs a part two
Queen Tajae aka Roxanne's REVENGE
Queen Tajae Yeah there's so much they didn't touch on. Her battle with KRS-One, her Big Mama diss, the Cornell school lie, her work as a casa (court appointed special advocate)....a lot.
Queen Tajae or a book. I will like to know what happened with her years after. I believe she went to college and is a licensed psychologist. I could be wrong. I wish the movie would have added another 30 minutes or so
The way it ended....i can definitely see a sequel.
l know, I was left hanging, waiting for more
i love how down to earth she is soooo humble we need more women like this beautiful inside and out ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Watching this interview for me is like my grandmother made my favorite meal and I’m sitting there enjoying every morsel! The Era of Roxanne was the Best and I just am so proud of her accomplishments!
i love this movie it was so good, but i wanted to see more of her life it should have been a mini series
Yes I agree. I definitely wanted more
I'd love to see her with a hair care line because her hair has always been healthy...🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
damn she sound super humble alot of artist need to learn from her...
yeah , & it doesn't sound like that fake humble mumble jumble
The movie was so dope. I grew up listening to Roxanne Latifah and Lyte. Like I be 2 hype when I hear these ladies and what they talking about in their lyrics, it's raw. They had something to fight for. Today's music is hard to understand when you don't hear the struggle. 2018 and I still and will always play old school. Big fan Shani!!
april powell I lost respect for her when she was lying about being a doctor.
She dropping the facts and wow you can tell she been through it and it is amazing the peace she has and damn sure deserves
I fell in love with Hip Hop when I heard Roxanne Roxanne and memorized every single word!!! #1984
I was too young to completely understand and enjoy Miss Shante music but my older sister did (plus she dated slick Rick briefly) and she put me on to her. I grew up in the lil Kim, Foxxy Brown, Eve, Amil and Da brat era.
Candie P don't forget Missy Elliot.
XAVIER1992 definitely Missy
Candie P me too grew up in the 90s.
Candie P i heard about her through my sister as well and I was born in 88
I'm not going to ruined the movie however the girl playing her did a he'll of job playing her.
Davon Gordon-White Yes She Did I Loved Her In The Movie

Another great interview after Erica Alexander's. I was just talking about Roxanne Shante. 👍🏾
Selena Thomas factd
Yes!!! Loved the Erica Alexander interview!
Selena Thomas faaaaaa
Exactly! both interviews!
It would've been greater but they put that 69 video first before this
Dope interview. I have even more respect and admiration for her now. The movie was also amazing. Chante Adams is such a sweetheart and I hope to see her a lot more.
Omg....I love her. She dropped knowledge that I will be supplying to my life.
I love her mentality about this. She has the right attitude and this show on Netflix will be successful.
This movie was dope AF! Very very VERY powerful!!! I literally balled my eyes out and not the regular cry, it was a huffing puffing and short of breathe cuz ur crying so hard cry. That’s how touching it is! Her story is very sad & powerful!!! Glad to see she over came it all
This the first guest Envy actually knew something about.
Love how positive she is! I love Roxanne Shante' :)
Shawnte Numekevor me too such a beautiful woman for our culture
I know right.... it's refreshing
Shawnte Numekevor yess!
So good and powerful 😩😩😩🖤
she rap'd like 3 times the entire movie
ShonDeveron Shears 🙄 here we go... So what 🤷🏾♀️ they had to fit so much of her life in like short of two hours.. still dope 👌🏾
i like it okay...but it was kinda boring had some great moments..seemed liek they left alot out..
@@Hello_Im_Dev or yaw'll was expecting a whole lot
The Queen of Queens Roxanne Shante 👑✊🏾 thank you Breakfast Club for this interview
What a wise, patient, humble and well enveloped woman. I love her!
Roxanne Shante! She gave good talk about her life/career/contributions to female hip hop and is humble. She and I need to talk! Lol
Where is your friend that was screaming here's the champ
veverly sumlin Ranita
The champ is here lol loved her I just watched it just now finish watching it for the first time
mkedrona 😂😂
She was the best addition to her entourage, honestly.
Shakethia Arrington The movie was awesome! They casted this one very well and the story was not the typical “rap legend” biopic.
I LOVE HER!!! So well spoken, still young, level headed, just a all around fly chick
What a fantastic attitude I wish I could bottle up her mentality and give it away💜
Chiemeri Blessings Beautiful Queen, do you have a Facebook?

I kept saying this while watching the video lmao.
Aisha Diop 😂
Her story is amazing. I hope God stay blessing y’all❤️
She is preaching!!!! 👏👏👏 this really blessed me 💖
Roxanne Roxanne wow this is a great interview.
UDG Sounds yep I completely agree. Its sad but its true.
Chante played the heck out of this role.... Put that young lady in more movies!!!
Roxanne throwing JEWELS! Thanks for this interview.
KRAS 4 FOR REAL...I'm taking it all in.
KRAS 4
*WUMP WUMP WUMP WUUUUUUMP*
Chante Adams bad 😍😍
