I had one of these 335'd in estate as a rental for 4 days back in 2016. I owned a 1.7L diesel budget car at the time, so imagine how I felt jumping into this beast.... I fell in love with the brand and later bought myself a BM, not this fast and expensive though. Today, I could get one but diesel does not suit my driving.
Great video, for me from this era of bmw, when they started going daft with the grills and new look, they went down hill a bit styling wise for me, I may get shot for that comment haha 😅
Flipping love these. Looking forward to seeing more on the channel Amelia! I've got a 2013 MX5 at the moment but I keep being seriously tempted by a 6-cylinder 3 series, especially as I couldn't move away from rear wheel drive now - had mine two years though and I'm not sure I'm ready to let it go quite yet? I suppose there's no rush for me as there's plenty of these about. Got to say, my mate has an '09 335d and in a tunnel last weekend it did sound pretty spectacular despite being a derv!
@@ameliaautomotive It is, for sure! I took it on track for the first time (my first time too) and I think that gave me a lot more respect for it and so has delayed the inevitable beemer by at least a few months 🤣 will keep you posted though! We're about the same age so I reckon you'll be a very good judge of the car for me as a possible daily haha
I daily a Jaguar XFR. Cost me £23,000 last march for a 14 plate but with proper back boxes on it sounds epic. Can get them much cheaper now and if you don't mind the fuel bills they are a really comfy, powerful and reliable car.
I had a 2014 XKR as my daily and swapped for a 335d as needed a 5 door and don't miss it.. Was great to look at but the 335 is nicer to drive, the tech is much better and the 0-60 is virtually the same.... Which from a diesel is impressive.
New subscriber to your channel , be interesting to see how it develops. There are some great undiscovered presenters on YT and you seem very natural on camera. Who knows , you might end up being the new Ginny Buckley. I agree about being a good looking car for a 2014. I think the era of 2010 - 2015 was a good time for car design and they are ageing very well but still have a decent level of modern toys inside without needing a degree in computer science to be able to operate them.
Would be interested to know how you are geting on wifh the car. Looking to change cars soon snd im not sure whether to stick to my love of minis snd get an f56 jcw or accept im soon to hit 40 and be sensible and get a 335d
Timing chain you mean. I daily a 335D X Drive saloon on a 67 reg, same as this but the shorter saloon version. Covered 104k miles and looking at having it changed in the next 6-12 months or so. Done 45k miles in just under 2 years so my mileage is way above average.
Value of these 335d touring really hold their value!!
Agree with everything you say. Had my 335d for 18 months and I wouldn’t change it for anything - it ticks every box from performance to practicality.
Same. It’s a keeper. I’ve even been taking it with me from the UK when I moved to Germany. Even though the steering wheel is now on the wrong side.
Great first video Amelia! ❤ What a daily!
Thank you!! 😊

I'm on my 2nd 335d now after swapping from an XKR. The current one is a 2017 ex demo so has every extra and it's perfect.
Loveeee a 335d XDrive Touring 😍❤️🔥
I sold mine about 2 months ago and im already planning on getting it back something about that engine🔥 the launches are brutal aswell!
Subscribed 👍 just purchased a f36 435d which i sold my mk7 golf r for , same response as you absolutely loving the power and mpg 💪
Great first video and great choice for a daily. Looking forward to seeing more videos!
Thanks so much!
Whatever you do don’t use the auto gearbox as a substitute for your handbrake. Handbrakes are much cheaper to fix than a snapped parking pin.
That’s interesting. I’ll admit I do forget to put it on sometimes as it seems to not do anything 🤣. Will make sure I always use it!
You can't go wrong with a 3 series, and this is the best of the bunch to daily! Much more sensible than my TT 😂
Haha. Love a TT!

Stunning car and stunning owner 🫶🏻🤍
Thank you ❤
Can't go wrong with a 335d even better as estate or any 6 cylinder bmw
335’s are so underrated! I remember driving one and couldn’t believe how much torque it has. Arguable better than then M340i if you ask me
Agree with you there! Better all rounder
My dad had a BMW X5 F15 xDrive40d from 2016 to 2020, and uses the exact same engine as the BMW 335d xDrive.
Now he has an X5 G05 M50d.
Nice. Do love an X5!
335D FTW! A great choice 👍🏼
Thank you!!

Thank you! I think a lot of people have that opinion. BMW definitely shocked us with them!
We'd really want an F31 335D if they were available in the states! Unfortunately, we had to settle for a regular F30 328i
That’s a shame!! The 328i is still a great car though 😊

Great video lovely looking car
Thank you! 😊
What a nice example 335d! Has good spec as well
Thank you!!
@@ameliaautomotive did you go Goodwood?
Also love my F31 335d. I will never sell it. Just love it too much. It does everything well. These might turn into a classic one day. 😉

Trying to coax my folks into a 3 series or 5 series touring.
Do it! ☺️
Not gonna lie, I'm jealous.
Would be interested to know more details of the spec / factory upgrades
Absolutely! Looking to do a 6 month ownership review in the next few months 😊
@@ameliaautomotive cool.
Do you still have this car ? How’s the reliability and service costs been? Thanks
I’m actually going to be doing a year update with a full break down soon so keep an eye out! I will say had no problems with reliability!
What mileage does the cam chain needs looking at?
