Managing office politics effectively is indeed an art. I concur that it's crucial to understand that office politics can occasionally mirror the competitive aspect of our work. Ideally, office politics should focus on the equitable allocation of resources and opportunities, not on personal feuds or bias. Also, it's worth mentioning that claiming credit solely for oneself isn't quite ethical or fair.

I wished that I could watch this video when I was in high school or before entering into university life. Even clubs & societies in university & high school (among committees & members) have their own politics (and also classmates' politics in high school as well). The worst thing I experienced in high school was when my mom saw a teacher who spoke badly (behind me) with other teachers on sports day, but that teacher always treated me so well. I had lots of bad experiences with some bad teammates and committees during university life, especially when some committee loves to say bad things behind me, but she couldn't even confront me to discuss and solve issues.
I gained a lot of insights after watching this video, this video gonna help me in my future career, especially for my new full-time job as a fresh grad this year. Truly appreciated🙏

Some companies like ST Engineering Aerospace Defence Services will use “Internal Auditors” to get rid of employees the management doesn’t like. The internal auditors whom are friends with the Ops director will for example purposely target you for auditing right after a heavy duty operational tasking.
When you are already heavily exhausted from it, that’s when you are prone to making mistakes. Any mistakes that are made during that auditing will be used as findings against you to affect your appraisal and thus your bonus or hope for promotion.
Doesn’t matter if as an employee, you have never had any issues with external audits. That’s how they kill you…

as a person who ensures all aspects of my own lift is greatly influence by my love for Jesus and his values, i disagree on playing politics, why? because its gaining an unfair advantage over another person's expense, back stabbing, scheming, smiling and pretending to be a friend but actually is a venomous snake behind. flattery to praise your boss to get into your boss's good books. all these links to dishonesty and covetousness. of cos by choosing not to play politics, most of the time in the marketplace, you will lose out in terms of work appraisal or even promotion. be in the world not of this world. i hate office politics and the plotting and scheming behind it.

i def agree that we should never compromise on our morals and values! :) we covered this around 3:02 that we shouldn’t play it, but at least navigate it so we don’t get hurt or taken advantage of

You Christ asks his disciples to be wise as serpent , when evangelising. Some translation even uses the world cunning
What is work but evangelising for some Christians? Maybe you could be more nuanced in your take, the suggestions from the woke salaryman I believe are gentle (like doves) ways to navigate work
