I have to rejig my serve after keeping the same one for 43 years as I am having constant pain if I off-hit with a more solid racquet. Stable racquets which end up being a bit more stiffer can cause the shoulder pain to multiply badly. I need to adapt for my age now. Thanks for this.
Thanks a lot for the advice, this is really helpful. After getting pronation right, I was overdoing it with the shoulder. Since I cured pronation, tennis elbow disappeared but the shoulder began to hurt (impingement), especially after having to play with an old 95 inches, 350g racket (makes any technical deficiency apparent). All makes sense indeed.
It makes sense. I’m going to try this out and be conscious about pulling my shoulder instead of pushing.
