    Thank you! Very instructive video! ;)

    What’s the safe percentage to go by so you can lay flooring on top of the concrete?

      Depends on your method of floor laying. Check with the adhesive manufacturer if glueing.

    What scale would you use on aerated concrete?

    • @ronrookledge4311
      @ronrookledge4311  3 года назад

      The answer is that the meter is not calibrated for aerated concrete and thus will not provide accurate moisture content readings in this instance.
      However the best advice is to use the comparative readings to compare to a dry standard or unaffected area.

      @@ronrookledge4311 Or undertake a more appropriate ERH assessment over a period of time with data loggers such as those from Lascar which will measure the Relative humidity in controlled environments to determine if moisture is still evaporating for the targe material.

      @@Elfin4 that’s a valid point although your question was what scale to use not method of moisture measurement. If I was being engaged as an independent consultant I would start with gravimetric testing backed up by data logging using ERH. The two combined would give a reasonable understanding of environmental conditions along with true MC. All of this would of course depend on the nature of the problem and the route to preventative action.

      @@ronrookledge4311 Could you explain what you mean by Gravimetric testing. Is this what you would expect to achieve from the Tramex Machine in the Concrete MC search mode?

      @@Elfin4 I would suggest you research gravimetric testing as it’s not a function of the Tramex meter. However Tramex do manufacture excellent data loggers which I would also encourage you to research further. Hope this information is of help to you or alternatively contact me directly for consultancy services.
