Lucky Hank, starring Bob Odenkirk, premieres March 19 on AMC.
Season Two - Episode Five: "Breakage"
Episode Description:
Tensions and bills mount at the White household. Hank makes progress at work, but suffers from the aftermath of his encounter with Tuco. Jesse takes charge and assembles a crew of dealers to get their product out on the streets.
Episode Overview:
As mounting medical bills and domestic turmoil have Walt scrambling to find a solution to his problems, Hank’s heroism in the shootout with Tuco lands him a promotion at the DEA. And while Hank makes a point of putting on a good show at work, underneath it all he is scared to death of another potentially fatal confrontation. Meanwhile, Jesse looks to put his own house in order, first by negotiating a deal with Clovis to store the mobile meth lab and then by persuading a skeptical landlord to agree to rent him a duplex even though he doesn’t have a job. And though he agrees to rejoin Walt in their partnership, this time Jesse insists that they do it his way, with Jesse running the business end and Walt handling the chemistry.
Now that Walt is cooking up as much meth as their lab can handle, Jesse reunites three of his old business partners - Badger, Skinny Pete and Combo - for his street sales force. After laying down a strict set of rules that govern the business, Jesse sets his team loose on Albuquerque with spectacular results - at least until Skinny Pete is robbed by a pair of addicts. Meanwhile, at a family party to celebrate Hank’s promotion, Skyler demands that Marie apologize for having shoplifted her baby shower gift.
While Marie is already looking ahead to a promotion that will take them away from the dangers of the Mexican border to the glamour of Washington , D.C., Hank continues struggling with the demons that have been haunting him since his run in with Tuco. At a desert meeting to divide up their profits, Walt makes it clear that he isn’t happy at being forced to share the loss of the drugs that were stolen from Skinny Pete. Over Jesse’s objections, Walt suggests that he handle the situation in the same way Tuco would have - by making the thieves pay with their lives. Emboldened by the confrontation, Walt heads home to confront Skyler about her recent behavior, especially the evidence that she’s been smoking while pregnant. But after getting no satisfaction from his showdown with Skyler, Walt heads back to give Jesse a gun and to angrily order him to use it.

"I won't mess this up."
Cut to Jane dying.
She killed herself. It wasnt his fault. She just included him in her journey to the grave
Walter could have saved her but decided not too. He 100% did not kill her.
@monokhem how would he definitely know he was going to kill her? There is not a definite certainty that she would choke on her own vomit and die. If he wanted to kill her with a certainty he wouldve.
Alright let's clear some things up here.
Jane started doing drugs again because: So Combo, one of Jesse's good friends, got killed by rival dealers (later we learn employed by Gus) which launched Jesse into depression. Jane, trying to make him feel better, decides to get high with him on meth and heroine. So, while I say Jesse is partially to blame for her relapsing on drugs, it was ultimately her decision and even idea to go back to drugs.
Fast forward to that fateful night: Walt, after having a conversation with Jane's father (who he was unaware of his identity), decides to go back to Jesse's place and try and patch things up with him. While trying to wake him, he INADVERTENTLY roles Jane on her back. Eventually she chokes to death on her vomit...and Walt watches, and initially contemplates saving her, though ultimately decides to let her die, mainly so he can be in Jesse's good books and to steer him away from drugs (and probably as well because Jane blatantly blackmailed him).
Note, Walt didn't turn her over for the purpose of dying, it was a mere accident, trying to wake Jesse up. This I believe, has been confirmed by the producers (initially, they actually did have the idea of Walt intentionally turning her over to have her die, but they decided not to do that, and instead made it unintentional).
So let's get this straight. It's all three of their faults she's dead, no single person shares sole responsibility. Jesse and Jane for doing drugs in the first place, and Walt, for intentionally not saving her.
@@IamCanadian3333 dude you are so right everyone in this comment section keeps on about walt intentionally killed jane. If you watch the show its fucking really clear he just watches her die. Its really really obvious.

Of all the tragedy in this series, Jane's death was the pinnacle. Jesse truly loved her, beyond the addiction and the rose colored glasses that came with it. Andrea's death broke him (let's be honest, that broke all of us), but Jane was still somewhere in there....when Walt told him he let Jane die, watched her and didn't try to save her....the look on his face said everything.

Jane was such a perfect match for Jesse, that it was really heartbreaking in the end. Tragedy.
Tragedy is the nature of the show. Everyone meets a bad end because that’s what their character steps ever closer to, what their traits guide them to.

The repercussions of Jane’s death were devastating to say the least. The writers got this absolutely spot on. Both Jesse and Jane’s dad’s lives spiralled out of control and all because Walt saw a chance to seize back control of Jesse’s life from Jane.
****Spoiler Alert****
Walt did not intentionally kill Jane though. As I recall Walt needed the meth stored in Jesse's flat and both of them were too stoned to wake up. Jane ended up on her back which caused her to choke and die. Walt did not plan this to happen. He did take advantage of what came after.

Walt is a total and complete piece of shit and he deserved a far, *far* worse fate than how the series ended but Jane's death wasn't his fault.
