Dan when Qiang said some of her friend's got happily married off of meeting online it sounded like a hint to me lmao 😆 gr8 video stay happy and keep up the good work Thx
How does she earn a living? My biggest worry about being a fulltime nomad is finding someone I'd like to spend the rest of my life with, but they do not have the means to travel full time or they have family obligations that tie them down (taking care of parents, etc.)
@bster13 When you find the right one you'll definitely know..........and it won't matter if she works or doesn't work. My gf has a college degree, she's always had a job, modeling/management but like I told her when I retire full time at the end of the year we will be traveling more and her office job won't be sustainable and she's good with that. Family is a big thing in the PI, luckily it's only her and mom here so I will make sure mom has the support she needs while were away. Like Dan pointed out, teach her ways of earning money or if your budget allows help out with her parents. One point I will tell everyone here, you are not obligated to take care of the brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles or cousins, people only get used when they allow themselves to be used. Good Luck!
Yes. She is 3rd generation Chinese in Malaysia. She has a great family in Malaysia. Check out our Ho Chi Minh videos if you want to see her Mom and Dad visiting us from Malaysia.
You guys are an incredible example of ‘connection’ or ‘chemistry’ and the age gap does not matter-your both soulmates especially with the creativity nature and similar personalities-God bless you both! Peace BB
The huge age gap is not noticeable from your interaction with each other. You look fit and young for a man of 70 and Qiang awesomely carries herself with such awesome maturity and grace for her age. You have both reached a happy medium and median in your relationship. Cheers to love, happiness, and fulfillment!
@@VagabondAwake , oh, my deep apologies! I thought I saw that figure in one of your vlogs. I should have re-checked. Again, I'm sorry. I still stand by what I wrote though: you look fit and young. Happy and Blessed Birthday!!! :-) ;-)

How much of age difference is between both of you? And beside all the adventures of the present what is your outlook in the long term? As I hear the video what comes to mind is was the fact that you are a World traveler and capable of making a living on the go one of the attraction factor for Quiang? A man who cooks, I say she is right? 25 years difference I heard? Okay? Love always wins right? Bravo! Question for Dan, where you married before?

Your comments also cause RUclips to show our video to more people so your note is like paying us a small tip $$ for our time. Thank you, Dan
Cool! Much appreciated. I was indeed curious precisely how you two met and I even thought it might’ve been on tinder or a similar application. It’s far more appealing when you guys voluntarily come out with that information. I actually thought Qiang looks like and could be a model. Go figure! Dan with the cooking skills! This cannot be faked lol.
How did you afford the for the frequent trips, and esp. with another person? Did you run a business and took retirement pay? Those trips cost a fortune.
Great video. My wife and I agreed that it was like sitting across from you at a table listening to your story. Loved it. We love you both. Dan, your thoughts on spiritual things have been helpful. My favorite books right now are Christianity Must Change or Die" by Bishop Spong and "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by Thich Nhat Hanh. Keep up the good work.
5:00 there is no guarantee you will get 90 days each time you come back to Malaysia. Totally up to the immigration officer. Once or twice, sure. After that - you are rolling the dice.
Great couple and great video 👍 I gave a thumbs up! Thanks for sharing. I appreciate the info about Malaysia being a good base for 90 days. How do you pick a place to stay for 30+ days? What's your strategy? Airbnb or hotel first then scope the place for month to month apartments? Also, I enjoy your videos when you talk about walkable towns. I agree that walkable is key. Don't like taxis to do basic things like restaurants and nearby things to do. Also like the $900 per month living expenses (or cheaper but SAFE) videos. Those are interesting to watch because it's a fair budget. Possible long term living country.
Yes, walkability is key. The most charming places are walkable. Yes, that is a good strategy. Get a base and then find your favorite area of town. Then walk it looking for rentals signs. That is how you get the best deals in the most walkable area. Airbnb often costs too much and this is how you get to the lower prices in the best places ... from landlords that don't know how to do Airbnb. Just be flexible because sometimes things don't work out perfectly.
My wife coaches actress that won contest at Astro Studios and I am going to send her your name. She also works with the Shangri Sisters (Janet, Winnie and May Mow).

Interesting story. I am Indian Malaysian and now travelling in West Africa though in difficulties with the current situation. No tinder or internet dating here. Pure one to one encounter. Love Africa, I am not judged by my ethnicity or colour of my skin which of course is 'hot chocolate' with god given Caucasian features. Imagine walking down the street and you are a 'rock star' and women stop to talk to you. In Malaysia you get ignored. The Chinese are more liberated that Indians, Malays are more liberated withing their own communities as the every active daters. Wish you guys a lot of luck and happy travels. I may have come to the end of my road here in West Africa in Ghana. Seen half the world already and the difficult countries. Time to hang my hat and them old boots. Stay Happy ad Stay Safe
The series of souvenir shots of you in various countries at about 2:25 are just fantastic; you both look radiant and happy. You are also lucky to have each other for great company in this virus mess, the quarantine somehow won't be so bad by spending it someone special. Stay inside, be safe & stay healthy! and...stay together!!
THANK YOU for a lovely story, I'm very happy for the both of you and I intend on buying at least a couple of your specialty videos in the near future - after the "scam-demic" is over and we can all travel freely again (without needing to be chipped or vaccinated) to do so. Over the last couple of weeks since I discovered your site I've watched many of your vlogs (is that what they call them?) and always checked the like button (because they were very informative) its the least thing I could do since you don't have a "donation" link. God bless.
You both have great stories, and it is enjoyable to see a happy couple. I know you have a fixed format for your travel videos, checklist of data and great photography, my feedback is the best parts are where you are sharing more of yourselves too like in this shoot. For example I commented on your KL review how the Airbnb tower apartment was so cool. I would like to see a day in the life video of living there, with walking around the neighborhood, going to the supermarket, taking a bus or train, walking down alleys, talking to vendors, etc, so I could imagine actually living/visiting there. Perhaps it doesn't meet the needs of your business, and I'm not saying to change your format, but I think it is an additional kind of video people would enjoy watching, and you would be good at it!
Very nice informal and informative chat. People are beginning to realize that online dating is making the world a much smaller place. You guys seem like a happy couple. I wish you well. If one is patient, it is more likely to come across the mate of your dreams...
Thanks RCS! We feel lucky. Thanks for watching our videos and thanks for commenting that helps our business grow! Please subscribe if the mood strikes. Best, Dan
Hey you two. Actually my husband stumbled upon your vblog and thought you two have done a great job on places in Asia and elsewhere on this planet. He thinks the both of you are marvelous. And, that's how I start to watch your videos as well. He has been on it more épisodes than I. It's great to see my fellow Malaysian is traveling to New places with Dan and sharing so much of wonderful info. Now getting to know the both of you 🌹 💕 a little better, it's just so awesome 👍 thanks 🙏 so much for sharing. Stay safe and stay healthy and happy. A hug and best wishes 💜from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Hi Dan, yes my wife is a filipina we also met on a dating site.. we're are scheduled to fly the first week of july to the Philippines let's wait and see Hope you and Qiang can stop by our place its like one hour from Manila near Tagaytay ( Taal Volcano) Nice to meet 😊 stay safe!
You are a lovely couple! Very happy for you that you enjoy traveling together. Qiang is a very stunning woman. I wondered why she never seemed to have a bad picture. The modelling explained it a bit but seems to have a natural beauty. Dan is a great guy too! I see you love what yo do!
Wonderful story! You two have a great chemistry which mirrors through all of your travel videos. Qiang is very attractive, intelligent and speaks many languages including english.
I see the chemistry between you two and I am amazed that you met on tinder! Pure luck and fate as I have tried tinder years ago and nothing ever came from it but scammers. All the best to you both ;-)
You guys make a great couple and thank you for sharing many of your experiences with us. I still have one important question since you encouraged us to ask any questions: In your relationship it is very obvious what is contributed from the male side with some extras, (being a better cook for example,) but from the lady’s side, it is not clear. Beside being a great travel companion and much younger at age emphasized, I’m not sure if there is anything else? Would this be all we matured generation today can all expect because of our age differences? I’m just curious, please don’t misunderstand. I’m not putting her down, I wish to have someone like her in my life, but with some extras besides the great companionship. Perhaps a cooking talent would definitely seal the deal for me. So with this much said, are there any hidden figures you have not shared from her side yet?
Qiang contributes more than her fair share to this adventure. But each individual is different. It doesn't matter what our relationship has turned out to be in that regard, because you will have to discover that with your new love. Our relationship will not be a model for anyone lese because we are all different as individuals and all relationships are different in there form of intergration. You will discover that when you try to merge you lives. And if you think it is unfair, you move along to the next prospect. Thanks for the great question.
Everyone I know who learned spanish, learned the bad words first. For a long time I couldn't speak it enough to order food. But I knew enough to get my throat cut. So I used menus and pointed a lot.
This was my Biggest Issue in the Philippines was the Food...I do not eat pork or Chicken all that much. Maybe I would eat Fish once a Month here in the U.S.
Malaysia Penang was one of my favorite except it's a bit hot. But definitely Malaysia is a good place to retire ... live in many countries in rotation is a best way to retire
WHEN I TRAVEL I GET CONFUSED AND I ALWAYS BRING TO MUCH, WHEN COVID IS OVER I WANT TO TRAVEL AGAIN. WHAT AND HOW DO YOU GUYS PACK, NOW THAN YOU DID 3 YEARS AGO.WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED. I KNOW CLOTHES AND ELECTRONICS, FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVE LARGE FEET AND ITS EXPENSIVE TO BUY ELECTRONICS IN ASIA . (PHILIPPINES) THANKS
Where do Qiang's parents live? I didn't catch the complicated name. I'm curious since my late parents practiced medicine in Kota Kinabalu for 4 decades and their townhouse still stays in the family🙋♀️
Thanks guys, I quite enjoyed hearing how you found each other. Very endearing. Your journeys make me think of Cavafy's poem Ithaca as you seem to be living it. As you set out for Ithaka hope your road is a long one, full of adventure, full of discovery. Laistrygonians, Cyclops, angry Poseidon-don’t be afraid of them: you’ll never find things like that on your way as long as you keep your thoughts raised high, as long as a rare excitement stirs your spirit and your body. Laistrygonians, Cyclops, wild Poseidon-you won’t encounter them unless you bring them along inside your soul, unless your soul sets them up in front of you. Hope your road is a long one. May there be many summer mornings when, with what pleasure, what joy, you enter harbors you’re seeing for the first time; may you stop at Phoenician trading stations to buy fine things, mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony, sensual perfume of every kind- as many sensual perfumes as you can; and may you visit many Egyptian cities to learn and go on learning from their scholars. Keep Ithaka always in your mind. Arriving there is what you’re destined for. But don’t hurry the journey at all. Better if it lasts for years, so you’re old by the time you reach the island, wealthy with all you’ve gained on the way, not expecting Ithaka to make you rich. Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey. Without her you wouldn't have set out. She has nothing left to give you now. And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled you. Wise as you will have become, so full of experience, you’ll have understood by then what these Ithakas mean. Stay safe Jaap

You are so welcome!
Dan & Qiang! You are wonderful and I am envious! Best of luck. Be safe.
Thanks Greg. Have a great week. Dan
5:00 there is no guarantee you will get 90 days each time you come back to Malaysia. Totally up to the immigration officer. Once or twice, sure. After that - you are rolling the dice.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have done it more than once or twice. At least 6 times in 2 years.
Recently found this channel, definitely a win for me . Love your videos . Love the connection you both have. Wish you both the best
Awesome! Thank you Keith!
My wife coaches actress that won contest at Astro Studios and I am going to send her your name. She also works with the Shangri Sisters (Janet, Winnie and May Mow).

You two are so fun to watch. A real joy exists with you both. In this crazy world what you are doing melds modern existence with simple living, values, harmony and humanity. Beautiful and inspiring.
That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said about us. So very thoughtful of you to share this Aron. Happy New Year, Dan .

Thanks Bill. We feel lucky to have this life. :-)

Welcome aboard!
Wow cool story. You appear to be living the dream. I'm happy for both of you. Ajijic Mexico they do speak English, just outside of Guadalajara.👍
Thanks for commenting. It helps our business get better. This video update explains why I can’t reply to your comment this week. ruclips.net/video/XWUpS4CxPCY/видео.html Sorry about that.

Thanks for the generous message Raysfla. You stay safe too. All the best, Dan
Very cool guys, bless you both :)
Thanks Andrew.
God bless.
Thanks Acr. :-)
Sounds good. Day in the life video. We'll try it out. Best, Dan
Tinder..... wooHooo = good stuff , ye look like a great couple, delighted for ye .. IRELAND
Thanks Dennis!

You are a lovely couple! Very happy for you that you enjoy traveling together. Qiang is a very stunning woman. I wondered why she never seemed to have a bad picture. The modelling explained it a bit but seems to have a natural beauty. Dan is a great guy too! I see you love what yo do!

I'm taking cooking lessons right away!
Hello angel Delgado, thanks for the chuckle. Smart man. :-) Dan
Thanks for the great question.
lovely couple and story !
Thanks Vince, we are having fun. Best, Dan
Everyone I know who learned spanish, learned the bad words first. For a long time I couldn't speak it enough to order food. But I knew enough to get my throat cut. So I used menus and pointed a lot.
Lol
This was my Biggest Issue in the Philippines was the Food...I do not eat pork or Chicken all that much. Maybe I would eat Fish once a Month here in the U.S.
You need to know how to cook. :-)
Wow my guess is correct, you are Malaysian
Pretty good guess!
Malaysia Penang was one of my favorite except it's a bit hot. But definitely Malaysia is a good place to retire ... live in many countries in rotation is a best way to retire
Totally agree!
I will do an unpacking video soon. :-)
I PROMISE I WILL SUBSCRIBE THANK U
Six months in México? Did you visit Monterrey? Taxco? Teotihuacan? Palenque? Chichen Itza? Did you explore CDMX? Love you guys!!!!
Here is the Mexico itenary: 20 cities: vagabondbuddha.com/best-place-live-mexico/
What's so good about Monterrey except being a very big city?
Where do Qiang's parents live? I didn't catch the complicated name. I'm curious since my late parents practiced medicine in Kota Kinabalu for 4 decades and their townhouse still stays in the family🙋♀️
We met in KL. But she is from Alor Setar: ruclips.net/video/Xxn12F_wGvc/видео.html
Thanks guys, I quite enjoyed hearing how you found each other. Very endearing. Your journeys make me think of Cavafy's poem Ithaca as you seem to be living it.
As you set out for Ithaka
hope your road is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
angry Poseidon-don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
wild Poseidon-you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.
Hope your road is a long one.
May there be many summer mornings when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you enter harbors you’re seeing for the first time;
may you stop at Phoenician trading stations
to buy fine things,
mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
sensual perfume of every kind-
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
and may you visit many Egyptian cities
to learn and go on learning from their scholars.
Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you’re destined for.
But don’t hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you’re old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you’ve gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.
Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey.
Without her you wouldn't have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.
And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you’ll have understood by then what these Ithakas mean.
Stay safe
Jaap

Dan and Qiang, I enjoy your videos. They make me feel as though we are friends even though our lifestyles are very different. I am an expat in the Philippines for many years. My wife is thirty years younger and we have three daughters, 16, 15 and 10. And after my sister-in-law died at 34 we also have my nephew, 15, and my niece, 5. If you ever come back to Siquijor again you are very welcome at our house. James
Hello James Fletcher! Thank you for taking the time to share. I'll definitely buy you lunch next time we are in Siquijor. Our RUclips channel grows when people like, comment, or subscribe. It is like you are giving us a pay raise every time! So we really appreciate your help! Best, Dan
