It is fascinating how the Red River drainage is so lopsided. North of Dallas the edge of that watershed is just South of the South bank of the river. Just a very short distance South of the Red River, the drainage is South into the Trinity, not the Red. If left to their own devices, would the Trinity eventually capture the Red?
I'm sorry for the owners who lost their land...My heart really goes out to you...

That’s great news , now I’m wondering when they’re going to start on the lake in East Texas ?
Which one?…. Ralph Hall Lake?
Nearly 30 years?!? Not quite. Lake naviniche opened in like 2014 or so
Where is that Lake located? I bet it’s not north Texas
"It took decades of buying property",,,
That's a nice way of saying stealing!
So is there anything other than fishing? Camping?
Yes
Hunting, fishing, boating and picknicking. Unfortunately, I don't see any campgounds listed on the NTMWD website.
this is sad...they ruined the best dinosaur bone looking spot in texas.
The rednecks don't believe in dinosaurs...
I believe that’s the other new lake that is currently being built. Lake Ralph Hall, on the North Sulphur River
Good until it’s over fished.
Damn she fine 😍
