I see sounds as a bonus addition not live performance but for practice anywhere with or without headphones, home, train, park etc without pc, sax and trumpet sounds are artificial, but synths flute plus clarinet bit more natural, connect to pc and software instruments make it a amazing music tool.
@@soundscapefusions3101 Thanks for your reply. Do you have AE-05? How does it feel in general? I've read some old complaints about the bite sensor being useless for realtime pitch bend control and also about keys getting stuck after some time. Wondering if Roland have improved anything in their later revisions or software updates. Also, I'm curious about fingering customization options. There is the Go Plus app but RUclipsrs somehow skip the fingering adjustment and do not explain how it works. Is it possible to assign also the note that's being played when no key is pressed? How many fingering positions can be assigned? I see some screenshots with only 10 positions, but that's usually for AE-01. There should, in theory, be at least 21 positions for AE-05, but not sure. There's nowhere to try it out in my country before buying.
@@camelCased Hi yes I have one and Akai ewi and just got another ewi ,the Roland is the best of all of them I compose music make my own sax loops, you sound like serious sax player Roland is great for my uses but the questions your asking you may require a higher flagship model the roland10 or 20,keys on ao5 do click had mine few years still good music tool.
Ewi sucks if you are saxophone player, there is no side keys and the octave rollers was terrible idea. Roland is much better in this way but their design sucks, it looks like a toy.
You obviously are deaf Ewi sounds beautiful Ae10 sounds thin and has key clicKing noise rollers woRKes palm Keys SLow us down . But Ae10 has all the FEATURES i want in ewi

So cool!
The Aerophone is much easier than the EWI to become proficient with if you’re a saxophonist.
I know roland seems more compatible when connected to pc and software ewi seems to need resetting or crashing roland seems more stable.
omg that second one sounds cool af, the roland sounds like a toy, that's crazy it's 500 dollars for that.
The built-in sounds are trash. However, if you connect it as a MIDI controller to a proper software synth, it sounds amazing.

EWI is not Saxophone replacement and it isn’t that hard to adapt EWI for saxophonist.
