    This is a really niche breakdown, I've never ever played chess in my life and I understood every second of it. You have a natural talent for this, I've seen some other videos from even grandmasters explaining Emory Tate's way of playing and nobody has ever made it so easy to understand and in an intuitive manner, watched the full vid.       Emory played like nobody else, skipped all the fundamentals, and clowned grandmasters. I wish we knew his iq, because of stories I’ve heard, like him learning Russian in 2 weeks, it’s probably around 150+. He’s easily top 1/10,000 in intelligence.

    I like when you break down the statistics between their moves. It shows of often Tate chose to go against the normal thought of play and won.

      I’ve only been playing since March 2020 when lockdown started so a few months shy of 3 years and I taught myself using various online resources! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed man!

    Btw it ain’t check mate he can kill with the pawn and take queen taking him out of check mate . You might need to check your calculations they do be wrong. Also he could have won from this position if he didn’t forfeit . Also can u show this in a vid

      Glad you ask, after white takes knight on f3, black promotes to a queen, king takes, then knight takes f3 with a check and a fork on the queen.

    11:12 I'm trying to understand why these next couple moves were thrown in... Will just kinda brushes over them, but I'm not seeing why Tate went Rc8 first instead of bringing the rook all the way over to the H file to go for the kill. Similarly, I'm not sure why the response to Rc8 is to push the c pawn... nor why the response to that is for Tate to play f6. Can anyone help out?

      It's hard to say without a lot of conjecture but arguably yes given the fact that he was in the air force and so didn't dedicate anywhere near as much time to studying as most high level players!
