    FWIW I just did a 4000km trip with my 2023 Corsa-e from Göteborg to Trento, Italy (taking the Trelleborg-Rostock ferry) and back via Holland and Denmark (using the 2 toll bridges). Mostly on Eco mode except when it's very hot, when it cuts AC too much. Motorway speed 115, overtaking 120/130. For me the car behaved perfectly, charging at Tesla where possible, average consumption turned out to be 14.9kWh/100km according to the trip computer, 16.4 when calculating the receipts from the charges. Distance between stops usually 200-250km, which perfectly matches my need for a stop. I used ABRP and had 0 stress, ABRP consequently overestimates the consumption though. For next trip I will buy a OBD dongle to cure that. Hills don't really seem to increase consumption, slow traffic and traffic jams only lower consumption. Even though the Corsa is not perfect, I'm very happy with my purchase. Note that the heavy traffic and traffic jams in Germany had a positive impact on consumption, on 1 leg of the trip (over Bremen and Hamburg...) I covered 256km using only 77%.

    Bjorn, if you are going camping, can you try an EV with an SUV tent. Use Camp Mode and let us know what you think of car glamping. Not as stealth as sleeping in the car but it works great for us in Canada. Your videos have been great and its so nice to get the real details about living with an EV.

    Hi Tesla Bjørn. Can you explain why there is that big difference in the wh/km for the e-208 and the Corsa-e? It "should" be the same battery, and drive line? You have also different battery capacity but both "should" have a battery at 50KW according the opel and peugeot. And with a bigger battery the range would also be longer.

  • @soundworks52
    @soundworks52 3 года назад +12

    Any chance of a retest of range test on e208 at 120kmph. I can't believe a new e208 with latest firmware would be trailing the Corsa-e by so much.

      @@kierank01 120kmph test, charge speed test 10% to 90% on a HPC and a noise test. only 4 hours I'd guess. It's up to Bjorn to decide if he'd get enough views out of two videos to make it worth his while.

      Might help to use other version of the e208 than the GT. The tyres in the GT slice the efficiency a bit.

    I managed to plug in an OBD reader on my Corsa-e and at 100% it shows 47.2 kWh capacity, I don't effectively know the usable amount but the battery percentage reflects the capacity shown by the OBD, for example at 50% the OBD dongle shows 23.5 kWh

    I cant get below 155 Wh/km at 90km/h with my 2021 Corsa-e. I've tried and tried, Eco mode, prefect weather, just like on Bjorn's test... all the same. Tried even running without AC at all - same. How does Bjorn manage to get consistent 140 with almost all PSA cars? Am I missing something?

    • @kenbarks9150
      @kenbarks9150 2 года назад

      Tires? Tire Pressure? I have the same car but i haven't tried to drive consistenly at that speed. In the last 6000km i got 13.5kWh/100km aprox and in the last 1000km 12.5kWh/100km. In summer i made a mixed route going with AC 20 degrees inside with 38°C outside, 3-4 persons, 60% aprox at 100-110km/h,. 37% at 80-95km/h and the rest at urban speeds and i got 15.5kWh/100km aprox. Those 170km aprox spent 60% of battery aprox

    No acceleration test of the actual lightest of the sister cars when on the 16" rims / tyres. But have you actually put it on the weigh bridge because what shows for the Opel / Vauxhall e-Corsa is fiction really, as is the 0-100 km / 0-62 mph with the Opel / Vauxhall compared to the Peugeot 208. There is more than noise difference with the 16" over the 17" in the Corsa or 208's there is acceleration differences, and range.

    The corsa e is freaking scary man. Especially when you are low on juice. As i was barreling down the A40 in Carmarthen just now at 75-80MPH in a 2023 corsa E with 25 miles G.O.M & about 21% battery level remaining, My G.O.M dissapeared in the space of 3 miles and my Battery jumped from 21% down to 9%. The turtle mode immediately kicked in and damn near killed me as i did a tricky u turn. Was averaging 3.5KWH/m so i dont think i stressed the car out too much. Just hope this isnt the start of a bad battery!
