FINALLY someone talked about the originally twin concept, I always see theses videos and they always talks about the mirror/genderbend concept, which is technically wrong to just tell this part. They were originally twins, but then they changed to a free concept for the producers to decide what to do (of course, for the money and explore the creativity), so they came with this mirror/genderbend concept as an excuse, finally someone explained it
In 2:03 I don't think they purposely ignored Rin, the start was vague (you don't know which song they will perform) and the impact of Len's entrance (coming out from Rin's side in time for the first lyrics), the visual and sounds wonderfully clicks so it's an amazing moment.
I think it’s incredibly unfair to insinuate that Rin is less popular than Len using the concert clip of Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder. She didn’t have a large reaction from the crowd at this point because she had already been introduced with her opening number Meltdown. And she got quite the cheers for appearing. In this concert, this is the first appearance from Len, so of course he’s getting all the cheers in this moment. Please use a more fair example in the future. I love Rin and Len both and they should both be treated with love. Rin is popular for a reason.
After rewatching that part, it's true that I got it wrong and treated them unfairly. Sorry about my bias, I'll make sure to use a better example next time. Thanks for the feedback.

Len is the best Vocaloid ever. At least to me anyway. I love Meiko, Kaito, Rin, Una, Fukase, Gakupo, Oliver, Dex, and Gumi too. But Len is just perfect to me for some reason. In range, in how his voice sounds, in versatility. (And in how his personality is usually portrayed as such a sweet and loving brother who would do anything for his twin.)
Hitoshitzuku and Yama P also frequently produce songs with the kagamines. Also yea i stan these two. Their vocals are versatile, i like how Rin manage to nail every song genre ever, and Len.. I can see some people creating more and more foreign language songs with him. Hes just awesome. Combining both of them, OUTSTANDING.
I can't tell if this video makes me happy or sad :0 The kagamines are my personal favorite vocaloids, so in a way I really want them to do better in popularity. Not saying Miku doesn't deserve her podium, she's a God in the vocaloid world. Just wished that I could see both kagamines gain a least a little more love!

Another reason why their first release was so poor in quality was because their development was incredibly rushed, released just 4 months after Miku. Usually it takes 1 - 2 years to develop a voicebank, but in this case were 2 voicebanks in less than a year
