So beautiful. We now live in an apartment, after downsizing, and have few walls, but I do have a large collection of beautiful antique dishes of all sorts, from four generations of family. I use them in every room, for soap dishes, flower vases, to display platters and trays. I look around and see the women of my family, everywhere I look.
How lovely!
The best reason for a collection! Your antique dishes sound wonderful!
Thank you, Miss Rachel, for all the tips on framing, matting, and creating your gallery walll. Your husband is so precise with his measurements and I love how you two work together. Your home is cozy and charming ❤
You are so welcome, Miss Betty!

What a gorgeous gallery wall you created! Love it!❤❤❤

Thank you, Miss Carolyn.

Gorgeous collection of prints! I don't have a gallery wall at this time but I always admire the look of them. Well done!!
Thanks!
Glad you stopped by!
I love gallery walls! I have one in several rooms of my home. Love your collection of beautiful pictures! 😊
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful!
Hello 👋 Rachel! So lovely to see a Video from you! 🤗 You have such a BEAUTIFUL Collection of Art Work!! 💚💚💚. Your area seems to have quite a abundance of Treasures!! ☺️. I have not been Thrifting much, but lately I have been Sourcing Etsy. My Weakness is Horses 🐎🏆🏇and Floral Prints! I don't have alot of Wall Space, so my Pictures are limited. My other weakness is Old Vintage Books 📚. I just can't seem to have enough! 😂 I am hoping that this Summer, I can make it to the Thrift Stores to add to my Collection. Right now, my focus has been on my Kitchen. We got a BEAUTIFUL Kitchen Island from Walmart. It's so functional and I wonder to myself, of how I've lived without one for so long 😂. I hope you and Matt have a lovely weekend 😘. Take care my friend 💚💐
Good evening, Miss Trudy!
I, too have been shopping more on Etsy and eBay than in thrift shops. This art collection has been growing for probably three years now. Two pieces were from an antique shop, two were from Etsy, and the rest were thrifted. These days I don't see near the great art that used to come through a couple of years ago.
Your kitchen island sounds so useful! I can understand how much you enjoy 7 use it. We use our peninsula multiple times a day!
May you and your husband have a lovely weekend, too!
I love the gallery wall ❤
Thank you, Miss Linda!
Wow, Rachel, this looked professionally done. Thank you for this informative video. I especially liked the blue mat in the smaller frame. Each piece of art had something unique about it and at the same time went with everything else. You did great with getting a cohesive look! Have a great week and God bless you! 🙏😊❤🌸👍
Good morning, Miss Jennifer!
I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. We appreciate you stopping by. Have a great day & you have a blessed week, too!
Rachel you're so cute.
I just love everything you two do!
Thank you again. I have my own, Rachel inspired, gallery wall of rose prints in my bedroom!!! So glad you showed us how!!❤
How wonderful, Miss JoAnn!
Thank you for sharing!
Awesome Rachel. Thank you.😊
You're so welcome!
I’m so excited you have given me an idea and now I’m on the hunt and the hunt is always my favorite thing to do! You have one of the best channels on utube!!!❤
The hunt... oh, yes, the hunt!
Thank you! I'm glad you picked up a useful idea. Happy art hunting!
Lovely!
You made a beautiful gallery wall and I know it brings you all much enjoyment. I like old farm pictures. I haven’t been thrifting in a while so maybe I need to start looking. 😊 Thanks!
Happy art hunting!
Seeing these beautiful Architectural artworks was almost a short memory trip for me. As I've seen & visted severL of them - and they will alway stay cherished memories.
A really lovely end result, of all your collecting work.
How wonderful, Miss Jane!
Beautiful artwork and gallery wall. Thanks for the great money saving art tips! I often do things that resourceful way. Not professional, but it works and the results are wonderful. I was a little surprised not to see your handy husband prep the wall prior to hanging the art pieces. Perhaps that's another project for another video. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you found some useful tips!
Time kept us from prepping the wall, but as you said, it's a project for another time... Thanks for visiting!
When I worked in an art store years ago, we called the tool...diamond point gun. When I looked on amazon, I found a tool called a point driver framing tool. When using the double stick tape, the best method is to place the tape only at the top of the mat or picture. This helps when temperature change occurs your artwork will not distort or ripple. Lovely job. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for the tip on the framing tool and placement of double-sided tape - very helpful!
Great tips and suggestions.
I had a photo of me as a child and I took it to a shop to get it copied. When I took it out if the frame, there was a photo of my mom behind it. It's a treasured picture of her as a senior in high school! I had no idea.
What a treasure!
Hi Miss Rachel, Thank You for sharing another Amazing video with us. Your Gallery Wall turned out Beautifully! 🥰 I Love and Appreciate the tips that You shared with us, as I also Love and Appreciate, how You and Matt work Wonderfully together. That Is Such a Blessing! ❤ Yes Ma'am, I have a growing collection that is Absolutely Priceless in sentiments to me. My collection began with Beautiful pieces that once belonged to my Dear Granny, and now I am Blessed to have them in the home that my Husband and I share. These pieces were a part of my Granny's home, from the time that I was a child, and now that I look around our home, I realize that I have Lovingly added to My Granny's already Beautiful brass pieces, gilded frames, among a number of other smaller collections as well. I Love to see them everyday in our home, they play a major role in helping us, as we create our home together. ❤ Thank You again Miss Rachel for inspiring, encouraging, sharing, and uplifting So Many of us. Lord willing, until next time.🙏🏾 Love In Christ, Paula
Hello, Miss Paula,
I'm glad you found some useful tips. The pieces from your Granny sound wonderful ~ these make the best collections!
@@StoneCottageHome you're welcome, and Thank You Miss Rachel for Your Kindness. ❤ I agree with You, the pieces that touch our heart, are the best to have in our collections. ❤ Thank You again Miss Rachel. 🥰
Hi Rachel. Love what you did with the Beatrix Potter piece. I too have a thing for art so this was great. I especially like seascapes, interiors, landscapes and cottages and, and...😊
Hello!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
You can use small wire nails to secure the pictures in the frames. I use about 1/2” to 3/4” wire brads and use needle nose pliers to hold them in place while I tap them in.
Great tip, thanks!
Great job....The frosted glass keeps glare off of pictures and is still best to hang them as you did here with no direct sun on them any part of the day. My husband did commercial photography, also had a photography business of landscapes, seascapes, etc. We learned also that you have to be very careful putting those clips in the back....too much pressure and you can still break the glass in the front said my watercolor teacher when she taught a couple classes(although brief) on framing. This is all I remember about it actually ❤😊
Thanks for the tips!
When I lived in a smaller home, I bought plates. I found that once I had 3, it was officially a "collection". I have enough pictures for a gallery wall, but haven't committed to putting it up yet. I'm struggling against seeing the wall bare, which I'm liking, and putting up all the pictures (plus, I'm missing one I know I have somewhere that matches a piece I'm already including). Indecisiveness has always been my struggle. Your videos help me to see projects when they are done, which gives me a push to make the decision. You have a beautiful collection of art for sure.
Wonderful!
I'm glad you were inspired! You can do it, and it will look wonderful. Have a lovely weekend!
My best friend came over the other day and said, "You have a lot of birds." I didn't even realize! I knew I had a couple owls, which has turned into 4, a few swans, which after counting I realize I have 5, a family of ceramic ducks, and some glass bird candle holders... Now all of a sudden I collect birds! 😂
Haha, that sounds about right!
Sometimes, it takes a fresh set of eyes to see the hidden collection!
Rachel you are definitely a pro at gallery walls. You have no idea how much I appreciated your help in finding and arranging the artwork in my renovated bedroom!!
It's was a blast to do it together!
Mrs.Rachel, thank so much for sharing. We are moving to a new home next week. Which is in a different state in which we live now. I am planning on doing a family gallery in my hallways. I have collected white frame and plan on using black and white photos. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning!
I'm glad you picked up some useful inspiration. Best wishes in your new home!
Thanks so much - this was great!
Glad it was helpful!
I love your collection and seeing how you did it. I would love to find some cottage prints for my bedroom. I do have a gallery wall in my hall of family photos - kids, grandkids and greats. The center has a printed poem about family with a "family" metal sign above it. I don't see them as often as I would like so I enjoy a visit everyday as I go down my hall. Since this wall is constantly growing the challenge it to keep it pulled together and balanced. I'm an avid sewer and have had a collection of sewing pin cushions and notions for years. Way too many to keep so a few years ago when I taught a sewing class to young moms from Japan I was happy to have each of them pick two to start their sewing boxes or a collection of their own. Sometimes as we get older are collections grow so much it's fun to pass on to someone just getting started.
You're absolutely right, sharing your collections is as fun as gathering them! Thank you for sharing, Miss Laurie!
I love this.
Thank you, Miss Rachel.
Have a lovely weekend!
Lovely! I have a collection of milk glass. I have incorporated a piece in every room! Even the bathroom 😊. I love decorating and your channel. I like french country and always look for pieces that I can bring into my home.
Milkglass is beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by, Miss Irma!
Nice collection of art! My surprise collection that I did not know I had - Blue Willow "ish" dishes, vases, plates and bowls. I discovered after putting together a July 4th display. My red, white and blue had a LOT of blue.
What a fun discovery! If you enjoy the blue so much, I wonder if you'd consider hanging a plate wall?
Rachel you have inspired me so much. I live in Kentucky but chose English country as my style. I framed some antique Audubon prints, a Kentuckian who became famous in England for his nature prints.
Good morning!
I'm glad you've been inspired! The English country style is so versatile and accommodating to so many areas of the country and architectural styles. Your Audubon prints sound perfect.
Thanks for stopping by!
Pretty
Thank you!
Fantastic!
Thank you!
I recently reframed some art and thought I could use masking tape too. My pictures fell out before I could even hang them. I took them to the local framer, not a hobby lobby or Michael's, and she reassembled them for me. We have had many art pieces framed by her already so she readily did this for me.
That's great!
Yes, I'm looking into a framing gun. Thanks for stopping by!
It looks wonderful! My latest collection in anything with a Barley Twist! (Candle holders, chairs, tables. English Oak is the best!)
Ooo, yes!
I love Barley Twist, too!
My collection consists on China, crystal, and ofcoures collection of pictures, picture frame.
Your wall looks beautiful.
Your collections sound lovely, Miss Rosa!

Thank you for taking the time to read, replied to me .
I am inspired!
Wonderful!
It’s a Wonderful collection Rachel! One crystal bowl from my mother, exploded into my latest collection, and more has been mailed this week by my 71 year old sister.
Thank you, Terri!
Sorry to hear about the crystal bowl, but glad there's another one on the way! Have a lovely weekend. 🌷
@@StoneCottageHome 🤣I meant that the first bowl began my large collection of vintage and antique crystal.😂it didn’t break.
I like symmetrical asymmetrical layouts.
I need a gallery wall! LOL
I have thrifted some coffee table books I am going to use to harvest prints. I just saw someone handpaint matte Modpodge on the pages to make them look like prints.
I have a 'known' collection of fabric. LOL
Warning!
Gallery walls are addicting... you can't have just one... But, oh, how much fun they are!
Yes, I've seen the Mod Podge technique as well and have wanted to try that out.
Haha, a "known" fabric stash! Me, too!
So pretty😍. I'm not very good at arranging art in a collection. That's a great skill.
Are you like me where if you make one change or move 1 thing you feel like it throws everything off?
If I make one change, I end up rearranging for days. My husband will be like, would you like to sit down now? 😂
Yes, sometimes that happens!
I call it the domino effect. The end result is worth it though!
Aww ! Miss Rachel. I live very close to Warwick ( pronounced ' Warrick ' and Stratford on Avon where Anne Hathaway's cottage is. I have also visited Beatrix Potters house in the Lake District.
Oh, how lovely!
I'd love to see both homes one day.
The vintagey pictures are so cool! Thanks for the great ideas! ❤😊
Absolutely, thanks for stopping by!
I’ve always loved watching you do your gallery walls. I’m pretty sure that’s how I was confident enough to do my own. Yours turned out lovely ❤️
Wonderful, Miss Sharen!
I'm glad you created a gallery wall of your own!
I love this! I have a collection of paintings that are priceless to me. They bring me joy when I see them as well. I also have a gallery wall of photographs that I have taken of my children. I matted and framed each one in collected antique frames. You give me inspiration!!
Your collection is lovely. Somehow I started collecting old cottage prints. Mostly yard sale finds. Not all are actual pictures. One piece is a painted wooden spoon bowl. A couple plates old calendar prints. And I started with a smallish collection and over the years more pieces came to me and were added. It has been fun.
This sounds like a fabulous collection with lots of variety!
@@StoneCottageHome It was fun collecting it. No longer collecting . Too much stuff. I do enjoy what I have and lots of it comes with great memories.
Thank you Rachel, I was so happy this rainy morning when I checked my email and found your vlog was up! Perfect, I love your tips
Yay! Glad you enjoyed your visit!
❤❤❤
Be gallant 😊
Happy Friday Rachel, so happy you posted a video on this day! This is one of my favorite's btw, the reason being: I have many pieces of art that need sprucing up, just as you have done! I too would love to have a staple gun for framed pieces! (I am a tape user too) 😂 I love the way you made the picture display, it is beautiful!!!
Happy weekend, Miss Lina!
One of my other viewers mentioned seeing a "point driver framing tool" on Amazon. I plan to check this out as I'm positive I'll be re-framing art for a long time to come! Thanks for stopping by today!
@@StoneCottageHome I will too, thank you!
The most beautiful episode. I am from India & have a lot of collection of old frames but don't know how to arrange these frames in a beautiful way for a wall gallery. Your collection of English prints or lithographs are amazing.
You can do it!
Pinterest is full of wonderful inspiration for gallery arrangements.
My personal gallery wall rule is that it doest matter the different sizes of frames as long as they are the same color.
Sounds like a good rule, Miss Kathleen!
Thanks for watching!
Your gallery wall is perfect. I have one in my living room and bedroom. Do you follow Kirsten and Joerg on RUclips? If not, I highly recommend their channel.

Good morning, Miss Elena!
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit today! Two of the pictures came from the antique shop and two of them I found online. The rest were discovered at various thrift stores! Thank you for stopping by from Greece, and have a lovely weekend!
That’s probably the best way to figure out what will work best together. Should pictures on gallery walls be spaced evenly between each other or is it just preference? (I mean I don’t think picture hanging police are going to come but I’m curious 😂). ~ Janet 😘
Good morning, Miss Janet!
If you had a grouping that was perfectly symmetrical (like a grid layout) then you would want to hang the pictures perfectly evenly.
In the case of a grouping like mine where the frames are of different sizes, and there's a rough symmetry, aim for getting it balanced. Hope that helps!
I collect hankies. I have about 40 now. I have to STOP it's become and addiction...lol.
Haha, I get it!
