  • WELCOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Worship with us at our 8:30 AM Sunday Contemporary Eucharist as we celebrate the Feast of St. Matthew, Apostle and Evangelist. Deacon Robert Alan Shivers preaches, “Holy Keys: Who Is Listening?” (Ezekiel 2:8-3:11). The color of the day is red, which signifies the blood of those martyred for their faithfulness to Christ Jesus, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. We give thanks for 132 years of God’s grace and mercy to St. Matthew’s congregation.
The Joyful Noise Ensemble leads the 8:30 a.m. Eucharist in the singing of joyous hymns and spiritual songs: “Blest Be the Tie That Binds”; “By All Your Saints in Warfare”; “Softly and Tenderly”; “Amazing Grace.”
Special music for the weekend: Joyful Noise sings “Drawn to the Light” (Ylvisaker) at the 8:30 offering.
