Suggest when you are planning to review an item that you check out their adverts to see how things are actually used. That isn't how they show it should be done, perhaps show it as an 'alternative method' next to the correct use.
I would agree. Anyone who actually LOOKS at the design of something and uses it like this does not have a practical mind.

Anya Hawkins Then you probably used eggs that were too old? Fresh eggs are firm and don’t “bleed”.
Anya Hawkins that happened to me too but I found out that if you wait for the water to boil BEFORE putting the egg in then it doesn’t bleed. I tried letting the water boil first THEN dropping the egg for 3 1/2 minutes and it came out perfect

Love that the egg came out edible despite tool not being close to used properly. Actually a phenomenal product, especially if egg is boiled for 8-10 seconds before cracking. Sorry buddy, this video was hard to watch.

That was my immediate thought as well Nick. If the guy can't even follow basic instructions, then his reviews are worthless and he's certainly not someone who I'd check out other videos with (much less follow!).

I think you should do a review the correct way, not giving the product the credit it deserves by using it wrong. Apart from failing reading the instructions, it's brilliant when he says "it's runny"...then realises it's not that runny...and goes on saying "but not that runny, which is just the way I like it...look at that!!!"
As said by others you've done it wrong, the poacher is like you have it for storing away in the cupboard, unfold it so it looks like an hour glass, the other thing is although its American and I'm English we always call it as it's spelled Oxo no O X O but hey "different strokes for different folks". Enjoy your week. 😊✌️
This is not how it is to be used. You need to unfold the poacher with the holes in the water. Also, a pinch of vinegar does not mean a quarter cup like you used. In the end your egg looked more like a fried egg than a poached egg.
Anyone who wants to say "he is using it wrong". Yes, he knows. Using it incorrectly forces everyone to comment, which creates engagement for the channel.

He is using this poacher wrongly. You're supposed to open it up and stand the ends with holes in the water. The egg falls through into the "basket". Hasn't he read the instructions?
