As ever enjoyed your video and the little snippets of info regarding points of interest, Always encouraged to go and explore your routes so will add this one in the near future as it’s fairly local to me. Keep up the inspiration.
Another great video - always look forward to you posting a new one!| I live a couple of miles away and never cease to be amazed by how much bridle way mileage there is to explore, right on my doorstep!
Yes I was up near Kendal recently & it was 20oC at the bottom but by time got to top of Shap it was wet windy and 8oc ! soaked so was glad to get back down where it was sunny
Awesome video as always,,,, Is this route 4 in your guide,, I like to watch the video before I go give it a bash, definitely be having a half way pint at the black labrador though
Did look a fun little loop that one Ian. Great stuff. Coming up Thursday through to Monday and staying in Ambleside for a few days riding if you’re about for a ride. 👍
Hi Mark, thanks mate. Hope you have a great time while you are up. Bit tied up with stuff next week but if I manage to get some free time I will give you a shout. Have you decided which routes you are doing?
@@Lakedistrictrider Hi Ian, we’re planning to do as you suggested your route 20 on Friday, Route 5 on the Saturday, Route 21 on the Sunday and something else on the Monday before driving back. Depending of weather obviously in which case we’ll switch them around maybe.
Enjoyed, especially because I did the main part of the route from your guidebook earlier this year. I added some extra mileage to the south. Just wondering if you went further than the guidebook route ? Would be great if you could share the GPX ?
Hi, glad you enjoyed. I just did the guidebook loop. Where did you extend? Was it where you can turn right at the top of the climb from Brigsteer, heading to Levens?
@@Lakedistrictrider I did a comment including a link but RUclips removed it. From brigsteer went south on Bradley above brigsteer park, Cotes, under dual carriageway over suspension bridge over river Kent across field to natland, around the helm, Paddy lane. If you msg me via my FB page Jules Kayak I can share link

Thanks for the nice comment John.
Yes that area certainly has quite a bit to choose from compared with other areas

Shap has its own climate. Gets bloody cold up there

Thanks mate, yes that's right. There were a few overgrown bits when I did it in the Autumn. Hopefully the landowners have sorted those out since
Looks a nice route. Don't suppose you have a gpx for it you would share do you?
Nice one ian
Cheers Nick
Looks like a fairly flat run.
That was a seriously overgrown single-track.
Thanks
It's quite an easy xc spin mate yes. Though there are two pretty big climbs - mostly on tarmac though

Cool, hope you enjoy. Big ride that Dunnerdale one but I really enjoy it
They were Sloes, not Damsons. Nice ride by the way!
Ha, I can't tell the difference.
Nice ride!
Any Kendal mint cake? :)
Ha, thanks. No, can't stand the stuff 😂

@@juleskayak i know where you mean. I've followed it on a map but haven't gone that way. Any good?
And did you used to be called Kevin Kicks? Or something like that?
Would love to ride this, no gpx?
Nope
