Great Vid, thanks - FYI - There's a trail round the far side of the lake that takes you up to the Fangs Brow bridleway, avoiding the road-climb. That terrace bridleway is what remains of an old 'Corps road' - great riding - when it's dry! Loved the Whinlatter vid also - keep 'em coming!
Camping this week at Whinfell Hall Campsite. Did the Altura trails yesterday at Whinlatter. Climbed Mellbreak today. Gonna takle this tomorrow Ian. 👍🏻 There is a route on Komoot but I'm not sure if it follows your route. I can definitely make out the road you came down through Thackthwaite before you hit my camp site. The Komoot route has me heading left out of camp site then left again up to Mosser. Hopefully the routes are similar. Cheers Ian. Top vids as always 👌🏻
Hi. Just spotted this. Trying to track it on OS maps and failing. Climb up to Mosser Mains.. Then where? Right and down to Whin Fell? And loop back round on the road. Then lower Loweswater path to Waterend. Fangs Brow and across the higher bridleway ... along down to High Nook Farm. And back to Maggies Bridge... ???
Start Loweswater head north through Thackthwaite, left at Low Lorton Bridge climbing west onto the byway the runs north of Whinfell to Mosser Mains. Then head south on the byway to meet the road north of Loweswater (the lake). Turn right to climb Fangs Brow then left onto the bridleway the runs high above the lake.
@@Lakedistrictrider Ah - gotcha. Clockwise round Whin Fell. Cheers. Will have a go at that next time we are up that way. Did the trails from Loweswater, round Ennerdale Water to Blacksail Youth Hostel and back last time (from Buttermere) which was fun.
